He should have been, I do not know if he was an American citizen or not but if so then why did the Americans not fight for justice ? He lived there so, he must have been under their protection surely ? Poor man, may he rest in peace. He should have never entered the Saudi consulate all alone and why did he not apply for this document in America, he lived there, could have gone to the Saudi embassy there ?

What you wrote here, pretty much sums up what protection you can expect from 'Rights, Justice, Freedom and Laws'. When you actually rely on them in the world; whilst critiquing power and being an activist in a way that really matters - to the peril of someone in power. They only mean something when someone wears a silly cape and a cardboard sign on a street corner.

It will happen again for sure, especially with the current downturn in the integrity of many of our world leaders. The one thing that surprised me about all of this is how the Republican senators decided to actually grow a spine, and they were able to go against King Donald and declare, on the world stage, that MBS murdered this man, all because he didn't like what he had to say. Jamal believed in American values, like freedom of speech, democracy, human rights...Isn't it ironic that he did more in his life to push those ideals than our own POTUS has done? Our POTUS instead sides with a brutal Islamic dictator who supports Sharia Law.

This is a culmination of events and relationships between KSA and the USA from the late 60s thru to today. There won’t be any change to that in our lifetimes … KSA, as an Islamic country is willing to overlook the American support of Israel’s occupation and oppression of Palestinian ppl .. In the name of international business and money .. If they are happy to do that and the USA is willing to conduct business with KSA, while they drop US made rockets into residential neighborhoods in Libya … the worlds all fuxked lol and it ain’t gonna turn around any time soon … may as well rob a couple banks and have fun with the time we got left … that’s how I see it, as long as I’m not having kids, why not???!

And this is Islam’s holiest & greatest country and its model society. Khashoggi was a former Muslim Brotherhood member and his end shows sitting on the edge of Shariah societies, and walking the tightrope life-long, is not such a safe approach; irrespective of how high and mighty your background and family links might make you feel!

We don’t want war. As much as we want justice we aren’t foolish to think starting a war over this would bring justice. Breaking our ties with Saudi Arabia is the clear right step in what our government should be doing. Instead we further our alliance with a clear enemy of the United States.

"You are coming back," Mutreb told Khashoggi. "You can't do that," Khashoggi responded. "People are waiting outside." Mutreb was also named by Turkish officials as one of the 15 Saudis suspected to have acted in Khashoggi's killing. At that point the dialogue ended, the source said, as several people closed in on Khashoggi, who was left gasping for air in his final moments. "I can't breathe," Khashoggi repeated several times. The transcript reportedly described screaming and gasps. Other men, including a voice identified by Turkish authorities as Dr. Salah Muhammad al-Tubaiqi, the head of forensic medicine at Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry, could be heard along with Khashoggi's muffled pleas, the source said. The transcript then described "sawing" and "cutting" sounds. Al-Tubaiqi could reportedly be heard telling the team in the room to block out the noise. "Put your earphones in or listen to music like me," he said, reportedly according to the transcript. Notably, the transcript describes at least three phone calls placed by Mutreb to someone who, according to previous assessments of the recording, is widely thought to be a senior Saudi official, possibly Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's closest adviser, Saud al-Qahtani, or possibly even the crown prince. Mutreb reportedly gave the undisclosed person on the other end of the line step-by-step details of what transpired: "Tell yours, the thing is done, it's done."

I dont understand why Saudi Arabia has such a 'special relationship' with the US, well i do its all about money. 15 of the 19 people who did 911 were from Saudi, if they were from Iran something would have done but no, somehow its forgotten about, i find that deeply disturbing. The us government stopped victims families from suing the Saudi government (still on-going i believe).

How exactly does security work at the embassy ? How was the team able to set up a private room , chop up body parts which likely caused a mess and is a timely process and do all of this going unnoticed?? Something doesn't add up here. There are more people involved than just the team.
