@@JamesMartin-qb6zg Moe Howard was one of the best co-hosts ever on the Mike Douglas show. The man was a smart as a tack, very quick witted and obviously well read. He along with John and Yoko are the only ones I recall of the hundreds of Mike Douglas co-hosts.

As a young child, I got to meet Moe. He "Poked" me in the eyes. It was not long before he passed.

I met Larry at the home he lived in back in 72/73. Moe indeed was the last surviving stooge.

This video has many inaccuracies. I actually met Moe's Son Paul at a Three Stooges Convention in Ft Washington, Pa @ early 2000's. I've read several books about the Three Stooges. Paul Howard is alive, now 89 years old. It was Larry's Son that passed away in a car accident. Also, at least to my understanding, the "Fourth" Stooge was Joe DePalma. He was a stand-in for Shemp.

Joe Besser replaced Shemp as the third stooge after Shemp's death in 1955. Besser played the third stooge until the end of the Three Stooges shorts in 1957. Joe DeRita (Curly Joe), played the third stooge in the Three Stooges movies and also did voice acting in the animated Three Stooges cartoons (The New Three Stooges) in 1965.

Where are you getting your information? According to Moe's son Paul (he's the one who DIDN'T die in a car accident in 1956) his mother Helen died just months after Moe's passing in 1975, not in January 1993. I think Paul Howard ought to know when his own mother died.

It was Larry's son, John, who was killed in a car crash in 1961, not '56, and Helen died Halloween 1975.

@@KevinMiller-xn5vu She grew morose after Moe's death and died on October 31,1975 from a Heart Attack. She and Moe are interred at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City/Los Angeles, the Alcove of Love Jewish Couple's Section. Shemp and Jerry are interred at Hollywood Home of Peace in East L.A. Jerry is buried next to their Parents Solomon and Jennie. Elder Brother Jack and his 2nd Wife are at Hillside as well. Eldest Brother Irving Joesph, passed away during surgery in 1939 in NYC. He's Buried in Queens,NY.

Tucson, AZ - '71ish An old Safeway turned into Channel 11... independent. Dr. Igor had his setup... The wrestler's ring (where my dad worked) ... And Uncle Bob (kiddie show.) One day Moe and Larry (grey-haired as ever) ran through Uncle Bob's set throwing candy and acting goofy. What a gas. Peace on earth.

When I was a kid, my angry WWII dad forbid us to watch The Three Stooges because he thought that my brothers and I would go around "stooging" each other and get hurt. I would have to go to my friend's house and watch them. I got grounded for a week because he came home early from work and caught me watching the Stooges.

I discovered them from the OFFICER JOE BOLTON SHOW. He'd have Moe on once a year. Moe was a loyal friend like Joe was loyal to him too. Curly was preferred over Shemp by most Stooge fans i'm pretty sure. or maybe i was just lucky to know the best judges of comedy.

Starting in 1959, the Stooges began their series of feature films with HAVE ROCKET, WILL TRAVEL. This deal was managed by Moe Howard's son in law, Norman Mauer under his production company, Normandy Productions.

We need to set the record straight here. Joe DeRita's wife was Jean Sullivan, but that was her stage name. Her real name was Willowgene Rase and that's not her in those pictures. We're here with her eldest son Bob, and he has no idea who that woman in those pictures is.

larry had one wife, mabel haney who didnt divorce him. Mabel died married to larry in 1967, if you are going to a video-check the facts on Wikipedia

He said Moe and his wife to be, were both teenagers when they got married in 1925. Moe, born in 1897 was 28 and his wife, born 1909 was 16 in 1925. They both weren't teenagers.

on the Mike Douglas show one day Mike asked Moe if he had a joke to tell and Moe starts this long story and the punch line was "dirty",Everybody died and Mike said well Moe won't be telling any more jokes on the show.

Pretty interesting that Salman Rushdie made a cameo in this video. But not unusual. In another video on this channel they showed a picture of Anastasia when talking about a maid.

Joe Besser's wife - not Ema Kay but Erna Kay (born Ernestine Dora Kretschmer), known as "Ernie". At least, according to everything else on the internet. (14:00 in the video). And the video kept showing actress Christine McIntyre a zillion times while mentioning Ema Kay (sic), incorrectly implying that those were photos or clips of Joe's wife.

Poorly written and inaccurate. The reason Curly Howard joined Ted Healy and the Stooges was because Shemp left after episodes of repeated stinginess by Healy. Healy made up to $9000 a week and the Stooges were paid only $150/week collectively. They were also subject to Healy's drunken abrasiveness. Ted Healy initially refused to hire Curly because he did not find Curly's appearance compelling. So Curly shaved off his hair and then Healy hired him.
