I like the Mike Post theme song for The Greatest American Hero. I *REALLY* dug Automan because of that glowing blue.

Automan reminded me of Tron.

Actually, it was Joey Scarborough who did the theme song. 😊

Closed Captions turned it into Ottoman ..the adventures of living room furniture would be a great show perhaps.

I’m noticing a trend: nearly every show we watched was either teens growing up or solving crime with fantastical powers. I’m here for it.

German here: first off, thank you for the video, there was quite something new for me to see. I saw a lot of stuff, even shows that didn't last long (not 80s, but remember Special Unit 2 or Codename: Eternity?) But i never saw even a snippet of The Greatest American Hero or Misfits of Science (looks like Mutant X took some inspiration or...Mutant X looks like that, but serious), Small Wonder, Matthew Star, Automan, Manimal, Highwayman, Voyagers and the rest i don't mention below: Riptide was pretty famous in germany, nice show, saw it a lot. It probably still runs today, i don't watch TV anymore. I actually watched some „Out of this World“ Episodes, i only remembered just now because of this video. I watched Turbo Teen as a kid and MASK too, we even had the toys of that show available. There was also a version of Kids Incorporated, it was called „Mini Playback Show“ Wow, naming a show „Edison Twins“ is bold xD Guess a famous name is enough sometimes, huh? Never saw that too, probably never ran here, i don't know. (not diminishing the show, just never heard of it) As a Sci-Fi nerd, i'am shocked that i never saw Space Academy.

80's cartoons had the best theme songs!

My dad bought me Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors as a gag because he didn't know what it was. As soon as I started watching it, he instantly remembered the theme and remembered he used to have the toys from the 80s

I was also a big fan of the 1983 show Masquerade. It had a really cool concept.
