Please watch Darnold at the Panthers. He was really pretty good considering what he was working with. He moves well in the pocket, is excellent at QB sneaks, and is a wildly underrated rusher. He could easily win the NFC North.

@@BenKHighlights He was leading the NFL in rushing TDs for the first 8 weeks or so in 2021. He can throw too, but he's never really had any decent targets apart from DJ Moore, Quincy Enunwa, and he's always been behind pretty bad O Lines with very ordinary play calling. He's a bit older and wiser now, and all of that is changing. There is no reason why he shouldn't be pretty effective in this Vikes offence.

I'm starting to wonder how closely you guys watch specific players. Brandel started against the Raiders and week 18 vs the Lions. He was really strong in the run game. The Vikes ran for 132 yds vs the Raiders, compared to new Packer Josh Jacobs who mustered only 56 yards. In the Lions game Ty Chandler led the Vikes to 89 yards vs 70 from Gibbs and Montgomery. Brandel showed a lot of promise. Ingram has always been a good run blocker, and both are young and improving whereas Matthew said, Risner is a baseline (like Shaq Griffin) that the team can fall back on, if the younger players struggle. Darnold can run too, so really 3 or 4 elements of the Vikes rushing game have changed, and collectively, could make it quite different.

Come on guys. Kwesi foreshadowed the Jettas contract in his pre-draft presser - when he said he wanted Jettas to have a full month without distraction to enjoy the new contract like a friend would enjoy their birthday month - it's Jettas birthday this month. I have been expecting confirmation of the deal for the past few days. Kwesi often tells you what he is going to do. His contracts are also very consistent. 3 years for younger guys in their mid-20s that he sees being part of the franchise; two years max for guys in their late 20s (e.g. AVG); rarely and one year max for guys at 30 (Shaq Griffin, Jordan Hicks, Bullard, Peterson, Chris Reed, arguably Zadarius, Quessenberry - a true exception).
