I actually drove past the Atlanta penitentiary 2 weeks ago. Hadn’t been over that way in awhile. Grandparents on both side of the family lived right around the corner from there. I remember as a child going to the McDonald’s that sat right across the street from it

Seems smart to have inmates with matches and glass bottles on the yard.

Much different time and inmate. These prisoners were gangsters but also thinkers. The petty thieves that would have taken advantage of those things would have been handled by the other inmates.

Interesting then to observe white and black inmates cooperating and supporting each other. Is there a lesson to learnt there? What is happening there with the dynamic that doesnt work today? Ive never been in trouble with the law or in Jail so wouldnt know.
