Fantastic job making this video. Very well made. Also, the great ingenuity to incorporate the LLOD style rack on your Diamondback cover with your own style was very eye opening. Great humor too! Love your garage. Keep making stuff. Thanks for showing us your process.

Awesome seeing you get a Tacoma and already getting started on projects with it!

@@thegaragejournal6584 I remember the thread on GJ where that was discussed. I too wish to have a LC but will just have to be content with my 2018 Sequoia TRD Sport. Although I am really interested to see what you do with the Tacoma. I have been looking for a new Tundra with the correct package but the Tacoma continues to interest me. I just don't know if there is enough rear interior cab room for me with a young son. Partially why I sold my 2012 Frontier for the Sequoia and kept my 2008 Nissan Xterra (which I absolutely love for it's simplicity and reliability).

Really dig how you approached the low rails and the fabricated sides. Not being as 'handy', care to share the plans for that? What did it cost for fabrication? Again, great job; thanks much.

I purchased the same kit and, to be honest, having trouble committing to the drilling. My layout always seems to either have a hole that would not be accessible underneath or I'm too close to the latch mechanisms. I really like your plywood jig idea. Can you tell me the dimensions you went with? i.e. the length of the jig or center to center of the tracks?? Thanks for the great vid btw!
@thegaragejournal65843 жыл бұрын
53”. Also, at least on the Tacoma you will not use every mounting hole. There’s one on each track that is blocked by the diamondback crossbar.

I understand and appreciate you being a diamondback fan but I am curious if you have seen the Renegade bed cover. Not that you would switch but would be interested if you had any thoughts on the differences between. Thank you and always enjoy your videos.

@@RobyWanKenobi Just looked it up... LOVE the L-Track integration... That's something I've been thinking about playing with... But I don't get along with trifolds typically...
@RobyWanKenobi3 жыл бұрын
@@thegaragejournal6584 the l track is what sold me. I have had it in the bed of my past 2 trucks. Never had a trifold only roll ups. Rarely do I need to roll it but when I do I need full access and that is had me hesitant on the diamondback. Again love your videos always excited when I see them come out. We live north of Dallas and still have lots of jobs to get to from the February snow. Take care.
