God I cried my head off during the finale. It was so sad that he died. Him coming back because his son was old enough and had that superpower was unexpected and beautiful. What great writing!!! I don't really watch anything coming out of Hollywood because it's unimaginative and crass or a redo or sequel, prequel etc. It seems western entertainment has fallen off a cliff. But kdrama or other foreign material hits in new and better, more thoughful ways.

Think about it this way, the son lost his ball yesterday, so he returned to bring the ball back, but THAT is why the ball disappeared yesterday in the first place.

How it works is like a chain of events. The boy brings back the orange ball from yesterday because he lost it. However, doing so is the very reason the orange ball disappeared yesterday in the first place. He returned to before the father's death to retrieve the father, so no body was ever found for 5 years, because the father has been brought to 5 years ahead in the future. So, if the son were to bring back something from the past, that thing MUST have disappeared at that point in time. So he is unable to bring back Ina's mom, because at no point in time did her body disappear.

It's a great story and thought through. It was a clever sequence of events. You'll be surprised by the last episode at the end of the tragedy. It was reported that no one died in the fire. There is only one missing and that is Bok Gwi-Ju. That means no one died. When the wall collapses, you can imagine at the very moment, his son appears and takes him to the future. He did not die but was taken away in time to live in the future. It was not shown in the episode. But if you notice his appearance his wearing is the same when the fire breaks out. Smart storytelling. Great job.

I think the events happened simultaneously but the passage of time is different on each side. The dad went back to the past a split second before the wall fell on him - hence why he did not die at the dance competition. During the time he went back to In-A’s birth, shared that moment with her mom, ran to the school, had the moment with his firefighter friend, then went up to save Da-hae five years was passing in current time. When Da-hae asked her son to go back a retrieve dad from 18 years ago, the son grabbed dad the split second before the school exploded- hence he did not die in the past. He is now back in the present, alive and well.

I wish they didn’t make him gone for FIVE YEARS - what a waste of time when he could have been with his wife and son. But I love his son’s superpower - so much more useful than his father’s. I can't put to words the emotions I felt while watching the whole drama. Especially the last episode. I was wishing and praying for Gwiju to be alive, but the way things turned out was really painful. I was literally crying and saying please don't but... It's gonna be hard to move on from this drama. Waiting for this every weekend gave me so much happiness, sadness, laughter, pain, and it made me realize how immeasurable love can be. I wish this was longer or had another season, but watching the last part where Dahae said "Welcome back" was enough for me. I'm still crying now while typing this but really, thank you so so much to all the actors, actresses, director, and to everyone in the team. 정말 수고 하셨습니다. I'm looking forward to another project with Jang Kiyong and Chun Woohee. Their chemisty was really great it got me looking forward to more of it. Hope they have another project together. For all those confuse, think of it this way. The son can time travel back to the past. He can bring whatever from the past to the future. By doing that, it'll make whatever he brings from the past dissappear from that timeline. For example, the dad. The son time traveled to save his dad 18 years ago when his dad went to save his mom. By doing that he no longer exist in the timeline from 18 years ago or 5 years ago. He time jumped his dad into the future thats why the dad no longer returned to 5 years ago. This show is all about the past, present and future. The concept is that one can change their destiny. Even when the Bok family may have superpowers of past, present and future. No one can change their destiny as everything is already written. There is no future without the past, no past without the future and no present without neither or vice versa. Great thoughtful storyline. It was well written.

True but that's not how their powers work in their universe. They can't just freely use their power even though they can. It may sound confusing but let me explain. They can only use their power and change something because it's already written in their destiny. There's no present without the past. No future without the present. Nothing can be changed or alter. Everything is already meant to happen. So the son won't be able to conjure anything he wants just because he wants to. He would have never knew he needed to conjure it. Whatever he needs to conjure up has happened in the past already. If it was never lost in the past/before him, then he can't conjure it. He's limited to what he can conjure. No past means no future conjuring for him because the past is already written for his future if that makes sense. Same thing for the dad. His past is written for him. While the grandmother's future is written for her. There's nothing that can do except accept their destiny. Everyone else is living in the present and must except both past and future.

I loved the ending and how everything was tied up perfectly. He couldn’t return to 5 years before after saving do da hee because his son brought him to 5 years in the future. Basically his son s super power to bring back things from the past to the future causes the things to go missing in the past. That’s why he was missing for 5 years cuz he was in future. That’s why the ball went missing yesterday as it was in future. Also the grandma could only dream about the future so she never could have dreamt of a fire in do da hee s high school so it was Ina’s where he would go missing. At the end, she knew he would return with the extra cutlery on the table for him because she was dreaming of the future where their family was once again complete. It’s a clever end to a beautiful story with a happy ending.

We need season 2. Loved the music score of this drama and it is one of the most intriguing storylines ever. Not one moment of dullness. I still want to know why Inas mother said to Ina before the crash why did you have to be born on that day. Bok Gwi-Ju fell in love with Dahae so deep that he was willing to risk all for her. You get the feeling that they might have a deeper background connection. Maybe past lovers in past life cycles or something which may explain why he saw her in colour and can only touch her. Glad for the happy ending but need more.

When he told her that “this wasn’t the end”, he knew already they would indeed see each other again in the future. Please understand that he can only travel backwards to his past when there was a happy moment, but can also go to where she was and or has been. Now, as he has come back with his son, each and every moment of happiness going forward becomes his past and creates another opportunity for him to travel back to. Also, for the people saying his power is useless, you must consider that the ability to travel back in time could be used for selfish personal gains, of which he obviously did not take part in except for the lottery numbers to pay off her debts. it's part of the mistery, if he return to the happy times after being summoned by his son to 5 years in the future, then da hae would have already known that he would return already as gwi ju would have already told her 5 years ago that he would return 5 years in the future, but as you see she didn't know anything, at least that's what it looks like, she just came up with the idea of her son possibly bringing him to the present and she didn't specially expected it to be actually possible at the end, but her son did do it. However now it is indeed possible that he would want to return to the time before dying and tell her he would return to her in the future but it wouldn't make sense cuz da hae should then know it already if he plan to do that , so the mistery is that a new timeline maybe would be opened if he now do that, with another reality in which during those five years da hae already know he would retunr to her but was just happily and patiently waiting, but without changing the actual reality shown in the last minutes of ep 12 when she has no clue, because for example if you think about it well, when he thought she had died in the fake accident, he went back to warn her not to go to that trip, let's suppose that she actually died, what would have happened if he really prevented her to die going to the past?, then the events would have been differente, when he returns to the present would he be the actual himself?, if the tragic event was changed then all his "universe" returning to his present would need to change too, because the funeral wouldnt have happened, he wouldn't be looking for her ion the present, he wouldn't be desperate or depressed trying to avoid the accident, it neccesarily would be a different gwi ju, so if two different gwi ju's can coexsit in the same timeline, he would have just created a paralel timeline in which they all continue to be happy when she never dies and doesn't disappear.

Ina got screwed with this ending. Her dad is a nice person but a bad father. Kept going back to the past for the first few years of her life, was a depressed drunk for 7 years, was an ok dad for a few months, and then disappeared again for 5 years. He basically missed her whole childhood because he kept picking other people over her. If Ina wasn't so mature, she would have ended up hating him. And now she's going to have to watch him be a better dad to her half brother and get all the attention that she never got from him.

Wait a minute. But Gwi-Joo can only travel to his past, right? Not to his future. And if he's in a time not in his present, he can't interact with anyone except Da Hae. So, how can he come and stay in the future? And even if it's his son's power, why can't he go back to his actual present and actually be there with his family instead of missing out on 5 years of his life? This is not making sense to me at all. Just when he and I-na started becoming happy and close, they will have to live apart again. He doesn't get to spend time with his son for five years as well 😢

but he didn't go to future, it was his son who summoned him or brought him to the future right before he dies in the explosion when he saved da hae, it was never specifed also that the kid has to travel phisically to the past to bring lost things, he maybe just is limited to imagine them and try to locate them in his mind with some kind of reference of the time they have been lost (18 years ago like the mother said) but the restriction might be that he can't go phisically to the past like gwi ju could do, he just needs to know how the think looks like, that's why da hae showed him the picture of gwi ju and he concentrated it and looked at it for a couple of seconds.

Basically his son s super power to bring back things to the future causes the things to go missing in the present. That’s why he was missing for 5 years cuz he was in future. Creo que la serie fue mala, muy mala con valores de mierda, si sos gorda no volas (si es una alegoria a perder sueños también es malo) pierde peso rápido y de forma insana hasta le dicen desnutrida y sigue sin comer y haciendo ejercicio. Es una enseñanza horrible si fuera por salud bien, pero el mensaje es si queres volar adelgaza como sea. Estoy un poco harta de que se celebre la anorexia en corea, yo pesé 40 kilos con 1,60 y era horriblemente flaca ellos pesan eso con más de 1,70. No me digan que no les hace mal a los coreanos por genética la mayoria de los actores en partes de las series se le ven herpes bucales y es el primer síntoma de 1ue tu sistema inmune falla
