I went to test drive Tesla model y yesterday and I have noticed that if I had squeezed the door handle any more(I'm a lean normal guy) ,I would have deformed it. I also was not liking how things the doors were. I keep wondering what would happen if the forces from the accident would travel through that body and hit the passengers inside.

As a Model Y owner.. Audi definitely wins with their build quality and overall luxurious feeling. The Q4 also does a faster 0-60 if you compare both base models. The only upside I think is Tesla's OS (but Carplay and Android Car are also nice) and supercharge network (although this is opening up for non-Teslas).

@@justohird5685 Its not "way safer". Both are Top Saftey Pick+ and all new cars are pretty much safe. And pricing depends on where you live. For example the Q4 and model y are the same price essentially and both offer over 250 miles of range which is plenty for 95% of people each day.

In this case, wait till you need to repair something. Which will be pretty soon. Then the Tesla plays out his real disadvantages. I could overlook the boring and blend design of a Tesla and the missing interior styling. I find it harder to ignore the shoddy quality, but I have to say I am not used to American cars, and I know they are generally quite bad in that regard, so that feeling might be different over there. What really stops me from buying a Tesla is the policy of repairability, the cost for minor damages and the way Tesla treats their customers with no good will.

None of the people with money I know would consider an Audi a quality brand. You have no idea what you are talking about. Not sure why you are hating so much, but it’s rather obvious both that you are just purely against Tesla and that you never owned one. My suggestion is to stick to comments about civics and corollas so you can speak from experience instead of what you read on the www.

@Cmacu You are right. I did never own one. But over the years I worked as an development Engineer for several Car Manufacturers, from Ford over AMG and JLR, Porsche and the Volkswagen Group. I did a lot of benchmarks, and the fact that you consider a Tesla to be a "luxury" brand, is absolutely laughable. Gaps and flushnesd are sub standard, the interior is basically not existing and road noises are really bad. Sure some Audi engines are not the most reliable, but there is no comparison to the build quality. I doubt you actually ever owned a newish Audi or any other premium car. Maybe one with 150k on the odometer and now you compare it to a new Tesla
