Definitely the right thing using the new grill rather than one with quattro on it. I've found the same with Ebay. Have to be so careful now with sellers taking the mickey. Great job and content.

On the sides, I would paint black the aluminium tubes where you'd have the intercooler on the rs versions. Just to tidy it up. The black grill is also the way to go. Wishing you a great 2021!!

Always worth checking with the main dealer for parts. I learned when I needed a part for a Fiat which was cheaper new from the dealer than my local breaker's price for a used part. I might be tempted to give that crash bar a coat of rattle can black to hide it a wee bit.

New Grill looks great But from what i saw in the video. it looks to have at least 4"high plastic mouldings either side of where the number plate fits, Which i feel will restrict the airflow to the radiator more than the quatro style one would.

Car's coming along great mate, grill looks awesome. If you are test fitting the bumper alone I would suggest putting some masking tape over the edges of the wings and lights etc. I know its hard getting the bumper in place without someone to help and the tape helps protect the paint. Thanks for the tips on the Audi dealer prices , that's good info to know and will certainly check with them in the future. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and your family.

Can’t believe I’m saying this as I normally say genuine parts are the best but the aftermarket grille is brilliant, I spotted the design match to the side grilles straight away and the black on black look just ties in the overall look. Cars looking really good now, have you got links for the connectors and de-pin tools, could definitely do with them myself 😊
