Being an IF/Black Templars fanboy, I have to admit I would love to see more Salamanders lore. Vulkan in particular would be great as a returning Primarch. Think of the contrast: you have the Imperium as it is now, little care or regard for the citizen. Then you have the compassion of Vulkan and his Salamanders.

@@stanislous137 Vulkan would HATE the politics and infighting he would have to deal with. "I've hugged all the highlords so many times but they keep trying to stab me. If it didn't make me itch so bad it'd be cute." In all seriousness if he came back, I would assume he'd be working to bring back and improve the "imperfect and rushed" webway project, in addition to getting a few major tech upgrades toward the imperium. And unlimited hugs for mr ultradepression.

Not a fan of N. Kyme, but He'Stan's entrance to fighting DarkEldar is pretty awesome. Just chucks himself off the ship turning himself and his spear into a Drukhari seeking missile. Very Captain America New Firedrake: "Did he have a gravchute or jump jets? Praetor: "lol, nope!!"

@@domc9801 it's in Firedrake, after some Dark Eldar kidnap Chaplain Elysius and a few other Salamanders. Vulkan He'Stan gets their location from a Haemonculi by threatening to lock him in a metal box deprived of all senses and forgetting about him. He'Stan and some Firedrakes then hijack a Drukhari ship to rescue a relic the Chaplain was wearing, rescuing the Chaplain is a bonus. The book also Introduces Zartath, the slightly crazy and berserk but loyal Black Dragon that becomes a Salamander and is basically Warhammer 40k Wolverine

Yeah, Kyme writes lots of Salamanders characters that show like zero salamander characteristics, the whole time you are reading it you are thinking ‘how the hell dod these people ever get past the trials to become a space marine?’

Apparently he's named after the footballer Stan Collymore. One of the GW studio managers at the time was a massive fan and demanded a Stan Collymore tribute in the GW lore from the studio writers lol. Not sure if this is true but it's a story I heard while working for GW in the early 2000's and I always thought it was pretty funny :)
