I have been procrastinating to write for many months. I decided to write when I wake up from bed last night. And I saw this video when in the morning before I get off my bed. Ah man!!! I can't believe how craving I am to write now. Thank you so much, Jason, for making these videos. You empower me and my confidence with a tremendous energy. Ok, I'm going take some time to write now. And I wish want to do this every day.

"in the beginning there was the word." It gives me goosebumps as I think of implications... Considering that physicist talk of "code" and information as building blocks of our reality I wonder how deep the rabbit hole goes. On the more basic level we as humans should certainly be more mindful of creative/destructive power of words leaving our mouth.. Thank you for this video, this is officially my favorite video on KZbin.

This is good for motivation I guess but it’s really easy to get caught in ideologies about what existence is. We really have no fucking clue what this is. The Ultimate Truth is beyond all language and ideology. Not knowing is a relief. Living in the unknown with a beginners mind is where it’s at, for me at least.

I need some help here. I've heard about this perspective (or phenomenon) of language creating our being and creating our reality...but I still don't get it. From my current vantage point, I see that being exists (and we exist) prior to language -- look at birth: Prior to the development of language skills we, as infants, still exist. In fact, an entire world (and reality) exists outside of language and before language - a world that we can perceive with our eyes, fingers, ears, nose, etc. even when we haven't yet developed the skill of language. I know that great minds such as Chomsky, Heidegger, and may others all agree that language gives rise to "beingness" and gives rise to our **perception** of reality -- but I also know that they are talking about something beyond mere description; They are talking about language actually creating (producing from a nothingness that was there before) something entirely new. While I understand what the intellectuals are saying, there is something still missing for me in this logic that I am desperately trying to grasp. To my mind, it's as if they are starting with "A", skipping over "B", and somehow magically arriving at "C". Can anyone help shed more light and help me close this fundamental gap of understanding please?

Metaphors are powerful tools for a linguistic artist. It allows you to “see an old thing in a new and vivid way.”~Stephen King Also, metaphors allow artists to abide by the "show, don't tell" rule. They actually change the way we think of a concept on an unconscious level 🙃
