@@nathanedwards3184 are you talking to me? If so, I don't believe that humans have an inherent right to cause suffering to less intelligent or complex beings. But an important part of reality to realize is that suffering is inherent to existence. Existence and Consciousness cannot exist in an absence of suffering. That's what the story of Adam and Eve are all about. It's a metaphor for the fact that beings with higher intelligence and understanding of Good and Evil inherently have to address the issue of suffering.

Finitude and Death are what make life beautiful. Wouldn't perpetual spring get boring? IMHO, all four seasons and rainy, cold, gray days are what make sunny, mild days beautiful.
