I don’t think it’s so much that it’s regular barbed wire penetrating his suit. I think it’s more of a spiritual thing because even Ironman questioned how it was that he was feeling pain inside his suit.

Entertaining and hype as hell coverage from you, Icon! I was half ready to write off this multi-title event, but I gotta say, I love the character designs of the BloodCoven, and their awesome names, unique powersets and team dynamic. There's always a Starscream on every team lol.. I do take issue with Scarlet Witch and Thor going down so easy (did he even try calling down lightning even once?), as well as the Sorcerers Supreme scrambling for a way to beat vampires when this is something Strange and Clea routinely do. I understand this attack is on a massive scale, and with some super-vampires that surprised everyone, but the newly-turned vamps shouldn't be much of a problem for them (or any of the Avengers, for that matter). I'm guessing Blade's possessed (by Dracula, after Blade drank his blood, or he's pulling a Captain Marvel when she faked taking out all the Avengers), but somehow I knew the Coven were referring to Blade when they kept saying, "... the Master", instead of just saying the master's name. Gotta wonder if he thought his attack on Strange through, with Clea right there. She's not Strange; she hits different. Guess we'll find out. All that said, I'm folllowing this storyline, via Comics Icon and reading the books. I hope it doesn't get dragged out too long, and I hope the Blood Coven stick around afterward.

Iron Man. Literally just got that suit. That's supposed to be the next power level up of ultimate cosmic power in terms of technology and most physical/ cosmic defense. And then he gets one shot and the very next event which basically restarts the whole entire iron Man power creep yet again. It's a very weird and almost annoying cyclical event for iron Man fans. Which I am sometimes and sometimes not. This time not being a fan. You would think after many cosmic events, multiversal events, supernatural events and such iron Man would actually with all of his intelligence be putting together suits of armor that can deal with all of those threats. Well past the limits of what most enemies can produce on Earth Yes, that includes vampire cults by now. With Tony Stark literally being outpaced and outsmarted by so many enemies, it almost makes him look dumb.

@@comicsicons I guess. For some reason I interpreted it as a magic attack. Maybe i'm just overthinking it, but in all defensive testing you would think he would have maxed psionic, telepathic, magical, telekinetic, supernatural, etc limits with all of the people he has access to with op levels of power. Legion, Franklin Richards, Jean Grey, Thor and the Asgardian crew, Blue Marvel, Captain Marvel, Juggernaut, Nimrod tech, Cable, Doctor Strange......etc that he could run high tech testing on stress testing on millions of iterations. I understand Marvel is slowing down and nerfing power creep but it makes it seem like these characters who are supposed to be universal class geniuses are realistically slow. =(

I'm interested in the X-MEN comics and what villans they will have to face ,hope Magik will play a big role in this event since she will have her own issue in this event .You don't see very often Thor getting his head penetrated or Captain Marvel getting her head smashed 😅 . I wonder after the last issue of blade the adana having the last laugh and everything is her doing somehow corrupting blade possibly 🤔

Hydra had a supernatural squad called the "Department of Occult Armaments" or D.O.A. They were staffed with multiple paranormal individuals with very different backstories and abilities. The storyline was 'pure' horror, absent suckheads. I always found that particular Hydra group compelling, and each team member humbled the Midnight Sons, including Blade, when they fought. None of the heroes were ready to take on the villains alone, and the storyline helped force the Sons to [finally] work cohesively. I find it interesting that the Darkhold is mentioned. If you recall, when Blade read from the book, he became enthralled by its pages. In doing so, he was transformed into a blasphemous caricature of himself. Also, the forming of the Midnight Sons was due to Dr. Strange's influence. The reason was the threat of vampires returning and the need for a group of vampire hunters to head up that threat. The story has come full circle some thirty years hence. The thirst always wins...

Thor is literally a GOD and has people who worship him in the real world and in the comic. Turning him potentially will cause a war with Asgard. Killing/turning Black Panther causes war with Wakanda. Turning Strange gives access to other worlds. I just want Marvel vampire war to be better than DCs version.
