“The collecting community seems to be as a whole, one of the only groups that when you ask for support and everyone “I got, I got it, pick me, pick me I got the part you need”, you get silence” I know that feeling, I’ve been in search for a replacement timer for my 1963 Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII washer as I am in the washer collector community, for over a year and have asked around on AW, various facebook groups, nothing. Some people just like to flake out and string you along for as long as possible. Then they wonder why they can’t sell what they have.

@@seana806 actually I think its a condition related to social media, with this behavior increasing the more people are glued to screen time... its a 21st century desire to be relevant by writing something in a comments section but to actually back up what is written, these media savvys go silent.

You should turn the brushroll off on hard floors, not only do you risk scratching and damaging your floors you also risk damaging the vacuum overtime. When the brush is on carpet it’s hitting a padded surface on hard floors it’s hitting a hard surface. What can happen is the machine will beat itself up and eventually damage it.

@@AwesomeVacuums unless held for an extended period of time in the same spot, the "risk" of damaging the floor or premature wear of the bristles is negligible at best. The plastic housing scraping against flooring is more likely to damage it than the nylon bristles spinning at 4k rpm, which I have seen happen
