There is nothing better on heaven and earth than The Avett Brothers live.

To all entertainers, this is called giving the audience what they want and giving a shit about your performance and craft. Bravo Avett Brothers!

When my alarm went off this morning, this song was playing. Instant earworm! Then, I just had to watch the video and ended up here. They now have a new fan! The energy is absolutely amazing. This is how it gets done.

Saw them bring in 2024 in Raleigh NC. First time seeing them live and they were ahhmazing!!! Now this senior citizen wishes she had the money to follow them around and see more of their live concerts but alas, will have to wait until they’re back in the area.

I love this band so much. They manage to do rock screams on such an upbeat tune and it doesn't sound out of place somehow. And the cello! I won't even comment on that.

Very nice, Avett Bros has such wide range, folk, melancholy to this “Kick” - how awesome! So refreshing music and energy like Springsteenish

I'm sad that I just found their music. I love the energy they have and how it transforms to the audience. I can't label their style because they can start bluegrass, go country, slide to folk, and blast a killer rock guitar solo. Their stage presence is motivating, if you are on your seat shame! Always happy when I find new music and I'm sure a lot of new tune to check out with this band🤘

how do you jump and play a cello?
@jmturner1148 жыл бұрын
its attached to his chest
@lindalove3897 жыл бұрын
Not attached, actually. Here's Joe Kwon's explanation - "I get asked this question a lot. The c peg hangs on my neck behind my head and acts as a cantilever with the neck of the cello itself and the body on my chest. From there I don’t need any hands to hold the instrument. However, I can’t access 1-3rd position from there easily so I have to put it down to play in those positions with any sort of dexterity. I guess it took me a couple months to be able to play this way while moving. It’s terrible for your back and I don’t recommend it unless you do other exercises to strengthen the other side of your body." (by the way, I've tried this and it hurts!)

Why does that guy have twin braids... more importantly... how is the celloist jumping..
@lindalove3897 жыл бұрын
No, he doesn't use a strap. He hooks the pegs behind his head which is why he can put the cello back down on the ground to play as well. No mean feat. You couldn't do that with a strap and that's also why his end pin is extended (so he can play it standing up). This was his explanation on a forum where someone else asked the same question. By the way, I've tried it his way and it hurts!
