The Award (1985)

Some high school football players give an award to the ugliest girl in school, but one learns she is beautiful inside. From Jack Weyland's story in the Nov. 1979 New Era, it was made by the Cypress Stake in California and "adopted" by the Church.

Remember this well from seminary in the '80s. It's hilarious. Colleen is a rock star. And that scene with everyone getting on the phone is so realistic - no one will ever believe that's what it was like.

When l was about 8, some boys l played with were very nasty to a boy who never came out of his garden. I puzzled why they did this. I couldn't understand their behaviour. If boys become nasty it's their choice to think they are better. One day we all have to answer for our actions, l know this is true. 🇬🇧 44:15
