I loved how Pieguy’s Gennady impression has just devolved into a Mario impression

What do you mean? It's spot on, obviously.

It's interesting how Francesca Marie Smith voiced Maizy before she would later voice Helga from Hey Arnold. They're quite different from each other.

Yeah, I'll also pick "Lisa's Wedding" as the best of this set, though I still enjoyed the "Dexter's Lab" pilot for all the crazy animal transformations. I haven't seen the Rugrats Passover episode or "Night Ghoulery" in a while, but I remember watching the former as a kid and saw the latter on KZbin years ago (mostly the Nightmare Before Christmas skit). As for "Daisy-Head Mayzie," I actually remember renting it from Blockbuster once as a kid and saw it again in high school for our writing class. We were using it as an example of making a children's book, though that case might've been more for style than substance.

Some all time classics this year, but my favourite song of 1995 is easily Boombastic by Shaggy. Another contender for top 5 of the decade for me. Shoutouts to other great 1995 songs: Wonderwall by Oasis, She by Green Day, I Got 5 on it by Luniz and Alright by Supergrass.

I also found it weird that Mayzie talked so little in the Dr. Seuss special. At first I thought she wasn’t going to talk at all in the whole thing, which honestly would’ve been better than this. Either give her lots of dialogue or no dialogue at all (at least until the end, maybe) but having her only say 2 or 3 random lines is just weird. Also, why didn’t she just close the windows when she saw the bees outside? Literally the whole problem would’ve been solved if she had just done that. As a Twilight Zone fan/nerd who’s a sucker for parodies, I enjoyed the Tiny Toons special just for that segment alone. Though even as someone who’s seen the original episode multiple times, I still somehow didn’t make the connection to Star Trek, lol. Lisa’s Wedding is such a timeless classic. My favourite part is the ending with Lisa and Homer walking away together. It’s such a short, simple moment, but so sweet, and has all the heart and charm that made early Simpsons shine. Also, I love how they make the joke about what appear to be robots who actually turn out to be students auditioning for the Wizard of Oz, but then it turns out there are actually robots in the future (like the librarian.) I’m glad the Simpsons didn’t get robbed again like they did last week with the TOH episode.
