1:10:17 This is where Chris' mom died in the hit-and-run. The villain "Mantroid" is actually a mix of the two street names where it happened-Mantle Street and Asteroid Drive. Chris imagines himself as a superhero to deal with the loss and feeling powerless. His fight against Mantroid is really about him trying to process his mom’s death 🥲

@@draekon8995Yeah, it's the intersection because Chris doesn't know who is actually responsible for his mom's death. Mantroid says "I don't have to get away, because I'm everywhere," because anyone could be the person who killed his mom. Most of Chris's heroes and villains have a secondary meaning as foreshadowing for LiS2 too, and if you're crazy like me then you might suspect some of the foreshadowing goes even further.

This was the teaser for Life is Strange 2. This came out first... and so you didn't know who the two kids were at the end of the game... and the news article wouldn't have had as much meaning since you hadn't actually encountered the tragic start of LiS 2. SPOILERS (now that you have finished the game) If you had looked on the bookshelf, you'd have seen one of the Easter Eggs for Life is Stange where there's a photo book by Mark Jefferson. In the garage with the spray-paint, there's a letter from Blackwell Academy letting us know that the mother was an art student from there. In the locker in the garage you would have found the firecracker that your dad took from you and it is THAT fire-cracker you use to properly defeat Snowmancer. There's also an article explaining how Chris' mother died when she was struck head-on by a speeding car while walking from her own stranded vehicle. The assailant fled the scene and was never found. This happened at the corner of Mantle and Asteroid - hence the creation of the evil villain "Mantroid". Oh... the phone is stupidly hard. I recall the code was simply typing the numbers on the phone keys to spell out "HawtDawg"

I'm a little disappointed she didn't see everything. The info about the mom and Mr. Jefferson's book were two things I was really waiting for her to find, and then it didn't happen. I had to look up the phone secret though, that was a really dumb code. The padlock was easy enough but the phone is really obscure.

@@bobdondaYou think it's obscure now? If you watch any gameplay of Captain Spirit from before the patch that added the Japanese audio option (I forget when exactly that was), there weren't even letters listed on the keys, so many people would have clue at all that letters might be used. In a sense, however, that does make it a great password for a dad who's familiar with old-fashioned texting to set a code that his young son wouldn't possibly understand. Too hard to get from a gameplay persoective though. Additional Fun Fact: HawtDawgMan also works as the passocde. Kinda funny to think 2 passcodes work though.

Cool that the game warns you to play captain first before ep2, i didn't know it did that since i played captain spirit first and it just implements the savefile for you. Anyhow let's see how you enjoy this one :)

Soooo happy you listened to your community and played Captain Spirit before continuing with the rest of LiS2. More creators should do that! EDIT: Oh so the game told you to play it (I still think you would have played it had you seen our comments as well. Btw the main song being played throughtout the episode is called Death with Dignity by Sufjan Stevens. It's probably most famous for being in the pilot episode for This Is Us

Whenever the yellow triangle appeared, while looking at the objects, you could have activated Chris' imaginary ability. This was explained to you at the beginning, but you clicked it away immediately

Chris doesn't have powers; everything he did that looked like he did was explained afterwards i.e. making the rocket fly he was holding it, opening the garage door he had the keys, turning on the tv he had the remote behind his back. Daniel saved him when he fell from the tree :D

The phone password is literally impossible to guess, so you basically got everything.

It's not literally impossible just hard to figure out, it's not like the password doesn't have a clue. The phone on the checklist has a drawing of hotdog man on the phone... Thats the password. The hard bit is entering it on an older style phone, if you're old enough to have had to send texts like this pre smartphone it's more obvious. I'm sure out of the millions of plays more than a few have correctly guessed it.
