btw I am sure you saw this already but www.reef2rainforest.com/2017/06/25/hawaii-governor-to-veto-aquarium-fishery-bill/ It looks like the governor will veto the bill in Hawaii! I think this is a tough issue because Hawaii in particular has a deep history of colonization and loss of land rights, so I do understand that angle of wanting to protect their land/water rights. At the same time I would not be surprised if many indigenous peoples make a living at these fisheries and, paired with the scientific study, these fisheries can help protect reefs! As you shared, research shows the aquarium fisheries to be sustainable and they allow the reef to be protected from unsustainable forms of fishing, as well as giving a constant eye to monitor the status of the reefs. AND coral propagation will undoubtedly play a large role in reviving the damaged reefs of this planet in the future.

It was great catching up with you at last year's show I hope to do the same the next show. If you have time check out my new KZbin channel I just made American Reefing I only have 1 video so far but gotta start somewhere. I love your channel and obviously I watch your videos over and over lol keep up the great work and thank you

Jake great video , planning on goin this yr in Newyork, any tips to avoid this 2-3 hour wait? Were they waiting to buy tickets at door ? If I order online can u pass the wait ? Thanks
@ReefBuildersVideo6 жыл бұрын
People wait up to two hours to get in when doors open, but it only takes 15 to 20 minutes to get in at first, and then just a few minutes later on.
@Mike__B7 жыл бұрын
I know it might sound blasphemous... but how long would you wait to get in if you showed up an hour or two AFTER they open? Seems like a decent enough plan to not have to wait hours to get in.
@ReefBuildersVideo7 жыл бұрын
no time at all, that's just how excited the people are for Reefapalooza, but surely you can show whenever you want and breeze on in.
