When my older brother had appendicitis he came in clutching his side yelling "My tummy hurts". After a week of being off my mum took him to the GP for his asthma check up who then sent him to hospital not telling my mum why. When they got there he went into emergency surgery. 1 hour in a nurse finally told my mum what was going on. This all happened over Easter so he got shit tons of chocolate and trhe main thing I remember is him turning to me with the biggest grin saying "I don't even like chocolate but I ain't sharing"

The story at the end reminds me of when I was about five years old, I told my parents I thought I might need glasses. They stood me a couple yards away from a clock and I had to lean over and squint to read it, but they thought I was faking it, out of want to have glasses like my mom. It wasn't until I was 16 and multiple teachers calling my parents telling them that I always asked to sit in the front of the class because I couldn't read the notes on the board that my parents finally believed me and got my eyes checked. Ironically, that's also about when I started doing poorly in school because I realized how boring and useless said notes were, and stopped giving any fucks.

There is actually a story us aussies tell tourists when they first come down. It’s of a creature called a hoop snake, it bites it’s own tail and rolls downhill. 4 sisters 1 brother a mom and no father, non believed I was having anything more than a stomach ache. Went to the free clinic and was told to come back for an ultrasound in a month.
