The Scorpion King movies was supposed to lead up to how he became the cursed Scorpion King, which we saw in The Mummy Returns. Similar to how Prometheus and Alien: Covenant was used as lead-ups to the first Alien movie. The latest one The Scorpion King 5: Book of Souls ends with him riding into the sunset. Each sequel makes you want to see him getting cursed and eventually die, which never happened. There has been talks about a Scorpion King reboot.

The final battle that the Akkadian and his men fought was a siege on the city of Thebes, after which they were forced out into the deserts, where the Scorpion King earned the favor of Anubis himself and returned to decimate Thebes, losing his soul after the battle so that he was condemned to return to the oasis that Anubis had given him, awaiting a challenger in a hibernation-like state and under a severe transformation that caused him to lose his humanity and sanity. The Scorpion King remained in his slumber for five thousand years until he was awoken by the resurrected High Priest Imhotep and the adventurer Rick O'Connell, both of whom sought the Scorpion King's destruction, but only Rick succeeded by using the spear of Osiris to send the warlord and his forces back to the Underworld.

Yeah, The Scorpion King is basically the third 1990s Mummy film. Of course, due to the fact it spawned a series of straight-to-video sequels, it unfortunately hasn't been included on any of the Mummy box sets, with most of them skipping straight to the much maligned Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Of course, though I'm yet to see it, it should be better than Mummy Returns and Tomb by virtue of actually featuring Dwayne Johnson as a flesh-and-blood star for a good chunk of the runtime rather than as a CGI Abomination.

I saw the commercial for it after the credits of the VHS so yeah, I've known of this game but I don't have the misfortune of playing it. (My misfortune was The Mummy Returns on PS2 because it was packaged with the movie on DVD and it was only five bucks), and to answer your question, The Rock voices his character in the game.

I know about the film and I think I know about the game on PlayStation 2 but did you know there was a game developed by WayForward Technologies? It was called Scorpion King: Sword of Osiris and it was released on Game Boy Advance the same year as Shantae another game developed by WayForward Technologies which was released on Game Boy Color and has enhancements for the Game Boy Advance.
