I'm convinced it was Lizzie. That has to do with the number of wounds the stepmother sustained. Stabbing someone repeatedly is hard enough, but to do it using a heavy axe is means that the unsub had both the will and the rage to kill the stepmother. Especially when you consider that the stepmother was hacked 17 times with what appeared to be excessive force. Most criminal profiler's would classify that as overkill or the unsub was prone to psychotic outburst. Lizzie does fit that profile.
