The surviving members of the B52s are still doing great shows. I saw them play London maybe six years ago now. Wonderful! But for all the laid back, cruise through life vibe that Kate and her band mates convey never forget that when they started out these guys would drive from Atlanta to New York every weekend to play CBGBs (about 18 hours each way), probably in a vehicle that was too small and couldn't be fully trusted to make it to the first state line. A lot of determination, hard work and raw talent went into all that laid backness and great music. Thank you guys. Would love to visit lazy Meadows one day.

The B-52's are simply a unique, one-of-a-kind group, would be nearly impossible to replicate it on purpose. Each member of the group brought a unique quality. Not many groups that have that sort of dynamic. Fleetwood Mac perhaps is like this as well, where each member stands on their own yet the whole group together is unique. The B-52's style is certainly all it's own, brought on by each member being themselves.

Surely it would have done better under different circumstances. This album set up their next one Cosmic Thing which went on to be the most successful commercially. Great Band, great video! Saw them at Heatwave, north of Toronto back in the 80's. Beautiful line up, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello!

Nah- Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame is a joke and they're above that. Watch what happened when Steve Miller received his accolade. It's on KZbin.

I visited the USA in 1990 as a 22 year old & knocked back the opportunity to see the B-52's live. Damnit, I still regret that decision to this day!

One sweet lady. Still cute. The voice, so soft and recognisable. Shiny Happy people with REM. And what about Candy with Iggy Pop, I adore that song. Is there more? Any recommandations ??

Thank you for posting this. I saw them in 1990 Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts, Mansfield, MA, USA. Great show, and Kate's voice.. and the whole band rocks my socks. Really inspires writing music. "So says, MrTom.. so it so it was written.."

A friend of mine said that "Love Shack" was a euphemism for a condom. "Tin roof rusted" meant that the condom broke and pregnancy followed. I'm glad to hear that this is not true. Love the tune and love the B-52s.

Good on ya Kate, Thanks for tour & insight. I was at your last European tour but am hoping it wasn’t. Loved you guys since the 1st LP when I was at school which was a long time ago now. Keep on rocking the shack. Stay safe.😍👍🇬🇧

As a huge fan, I never understand why people love "Give me back my man" so much. I mean, it is okay, but so many tunes WAY better in my opinion. But everyone is different!

Show was what anyone who knows the music & lsd would expect. Dizzying moments...Byrne played a giant, white Martin F-55 on Psycho Killer, for several bars Frantz's face was framed in crook of his right arm. Eye contact was nuts, couldn't look away and I thought the fucking roof was going to fly off the place. Third row center. Local Transistors, fun to watch, sucked. Guaranteed, at least half the 1485 seat venue was or could have been tripping. Everyone was high, like it or not hotbox. Denver's Rainbow Music Hall is worth reading about. Saw a dozen $2 shows.
