The nicest band I've ever had the pleasure to hang out with backstage! They all were so friendly and accommodating after playing a sold-out show here in San Francisco on the "Cosmic Thing" tour. Ricky, of course was no longer here. They kept giving me beer after beer and they just liked talking to me and my partner, Louie that night. They signed my CD, which was kind of a novelty back in the day because a bunch of people had them signing their 12 inch album! The fact that I brought my CD with me seemed to really amuse them (CD's were still very new at the time)! My backstage pass is still plastered on my CD! Super nice people!!!

HELL YES. There are only a handful of bands that are so monumentally original that they pretty much break the mold from anyone ever trying to sound like them. Jon......seriously HOW are they in ANYWAY underrated? Their music has top charted all over the world, they've sold 10's of million of albums, they are recognized universally as the early creators of the New Wave genre, they have been recognized as influencing a generation's musical styling and you're suggesting they are.....underrated. There's so much complaining about today's music coming from fans of 1960s, 1970s and 1980s music that I do not understand and that is mostly "old men yelling at clouds" and "le wrong génération" type complaints. But what I hear rarely and what I personally actually miss in today's music is this spirit of boldly innovative, avant-garde and at the same time still catchy artsy pop that bands like The B-52s personified. That thing IS rare today, this sense of excitement and pride for being unique and fun and at the same time not taking themselves too seriously that you hear in their music.

It's impossible to be in a bad mood when this song is on 😁 My two favorite moments are Cindy's "biography" and Kate kicking off her shoe when she's on the swing. This and the video for Legal Tender, I swear Kate is channeling Connie Stevens.

You see now why the B-52's are not in the Rock n roll hall of fame but who cares they are in a class all by them selves

They were my generation. They are brilliant, voices blended well in unison and a very underrated band.

Love this song and video. Great harmonies and sadly one of the last to feature multi talented Ricky Wilson. B52s are one of America's Best bands ever.
