Ricky. :_( Even in his last year he still had the energy to put on a heck of a great show. You're sorely missed, mr. Wilson.

I always hear from people that the appeal to this band is that they are "different" and people relate to them because of that. Well...I like all that, too, but more than equally I think their music...their songs...are just so good. I love this song, and I can never decide which version ("moon" or "moon 83") I like. Here, they are combining both. And it's just so very good.
@Catman-ke2dx3 жыл бұрын
ok that was confusing me lol, I was trying to figure out which one it was, but it seems like they did combine them. the official set list says they do both songs, so I thought they left one out.

@@Catman-ke2dx To my knowledge, there was a song on Whammy that had to be replaced due to copywriting issues (I think it was their cover of some Yoko song), and they made Moon 83 "Up" to replace it. dont shoot the messenger!

I KNEW I HAD to be right. I was wondering if it was a fire alarm, having a friendly argument with someone, about the start of this record. I have been looking for this video, which I thought existed. Thank you B-52's.

Yes. this had to be Rickys last show. He died on OCTOBER 12, 1985. If he was sick, he did not show it.
@101Volts6 жыл бұрын
Supposedly, Ricky was sweating heavily during this show and the footage of him in November 1980 shows him sweating during "Runnin' Around." Reportedly, AIDS patients sweat a lot at night and sometimes they'll sweat heavier in the daytime. There are images of his shirt being drenched, how hot was it at these shows? He might have caught AIDS before the first album was even released.

Lots of people sweat heavily when they're up on stage slaying it for two hours.

The only thing I can notice is how he is out of breath after some of the longer lines. Still took a lot of heart to stand up there and perform like he was on top of the world.

IN THE MID 90s THE B52S MADE THE COVER OF THE ROLLING STONE AND WERE DUBBED "AMERICA'S PARTY BAND", I AGREE. MYSELF I'M AN AEROSMITH TO ZZ TOP TYPE ROCKER, HOWEVER I LOVE THE B52S ESPECIALLY KATE, SHE'S GORGEOUS AND VERY TALENTED AND THE SAME CAN BE SAID ABOUT CINDY.
