(2:50) - ...oh, THIS BAND!!! ...It's like playing 'connect the dots'! ....The Babys was a UK Band with a VERY 'American' sound; they hit it off right off the bat, with their 1st LP in 1977, but, this tune was the biggie, from their 2nd LP, hitting #13 Pop (in the USA), in 1978.... - ...They started fragmenting in 1979, and lost some members but gained NEW Ones; one of them was Johnathan Cain (who left later on to go to Journey, Steve Perry's Band), and after their 3rd LP, they broke up in 1980....now, the PUZZLE.... ...Johnathan left to go to Journey - John Waite (the lead) went Solo, and had a #1 CLASSIC, with "Missing You" in 1984 (3:21) - Ricky Phillips went on to the Rock Group STYX - ALL 3 Guys got together to create the 1st 'Supergroup', Bad English, in 1988 / 1989, having a #1 Rock / Pop hit with "When I See You Smile"..... ....The Band splinted off into SO many Classic Rock acts, that they became known for THAT, more than their HITS!

Empress, the whole album is great. Not a bad song on it. Put on some good headphones, some free time, your favorite drink, a comfy chair and this album. Start to finish wonderful. Good one as always.

I might have bought the 45 rpm single of this back in the day, but I'm not sure if it was this song or "Every Time I Think of You". The sound definitely goes ABBA when the backing vocals kick in. Elton John, yep, "Philadelphia Freedom" era. Bowie, er, well not so much for me. John Waite does look a bit like Bowie in the clip, but also Rod Stewart and others.
