Fantastic! I've been waiting for this! The Bachelors are my favorite band and this is a show-stopping version of "You'll Never Walk Alone"! The Bachelors came from Dublin, Ireland, and they made 3 appearances on the Sullivan show. This was their last. They also sang "Love Me With All Your Heart" which was posted earlier. The band members were Conleth (Con) Cluskey, Declan (Dec) Cluskey and John Stokes. Con was the lead singer. "You'll Never Walk Alone" is from the musical "Carousel" by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Thank you again for this great performance! I'm also looking forward to seeing them sing "I Believe" from their previous appearance on which they also sang "Marie". "Marie" has been posted but not "I Believe".

The lead singer passed away last year, but the other two members are still around.

It is a very well-known song among football (soccer) fans... Since the 60s this song, in Gerry Marsden's version, has been the official anthem of Liverpool F.C., and later other football clubs also adopted the song as their anthem... In both national and international competitions it is shocking to hear how all the Liverpool or Glasgow Celtic supporters fill the stadium singing this song before the game starts and sometimes also at the end.

Unfortunately the two brothers Con and Dec fell out with John, the bassist in the 80’s and they never performed together again. What a shame as they had a wonderful mix of voices, especially as the could do it live at will.

Bravo! Three people sounded like an orchestra with a large choir.

?????????..... What? They sounded like an orchestra and choir BECAUSE THEY WERE BACKED UP BY BOTH IN EITHER THIS LIVE PERFORMANCE, OR WERE LIP- SYNCHING TO A RECORDING.😬🙉

The late Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge also did the remake in 1969 (from "The Second Brooklyn Bridge"). I wonder if the late Jerry Lewis heard Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Lettermen, The Bachelors or The Brooklyn Bridge versions of that song because Lewis closes the Telethon with that song.

Jerry Lewis or Jerry Lee Lewis?

OMG Goose bumps or what, I have seen tons of stuff from this fantastic group but i don't remember seeing this footage, The sound and picture is spot on for the age of this film. The emotion that John Stokes gave on this performance was just electric, This is the best i have ever seen or heard him sing this, Just look at his face when he's letting rip with those powerful notes, he knows he's in top form. those almost opera style runs he was doing were just stunning, What a set of pipes he had My word. I can do John Stokes voice to a T, I have made a CD of me singing the Bachelors songs, And i can do those wonderful notes just like he could, what a group they were, You'll never hear music like this ever again. Do they still have there you tube channel they were running, That was pretty cool, they often burst into a song or to on that. Great video mate, wonderful footage of the Fab 3 LOL. well they use to have four in the band didn't they, till one of them left, What ever happened to that film that was made of them, A kind of Documentary film i think it was, It showed you from when they first started, And when John Snapped his vocal cords while recording no arms will ever hold you, And they gave him some vocal spray i think it was so he could finish the recording, And they joined the tape together and you couldn't even hear where his vocals snapped, if you know what the film was called could you let me know please, I haven't seen the film for nearly 20 years, It's vanished and doesn't get shown on TV no more. i can't even find it on you tube ether. Thanx for showing this Amazing performance of one of my Favorite groups ever Brilliant.

Lead vo overstretched himself at first but finished nicely. They aren't as bad as the few arseholes here think they are, of course. They really shine even more on "Diane" and "Marie", two 100-year-old pop hits that did well originally in the USA in the 20's and again by the Bachelors in the mid-60's.

After this song hurting my ears so badly I now understand why I've never heard of The bachelors😅😅😅 even though I was just a kid in the 60s I'm really familiar and love the 60s it's my favorite music era

Don’t know why but this harsh sound from Con and an unbalanced harmonic from Dec and John is in no way the beautiful blending voices that was the Batchelors. Please find another clip of them to watch. No arms can ever hold you is a good starting point.

Gay as a three dollar bill...😂
@kurtsupreme4 ай бұрын
Why do you think that they are gay just because they express emotion and feeling. Music is the language of emotion. By the way, none of these guys were gay............all were married to women with children. They were excellent musicians................and if they had been gay, who cares? Your comment says more about you...........you are probably having feelings that you don't like about yourself...........and that's fine as well.
