And it's videos like this, for the reason that I love you professor! Such a high level of understanding Jiujitsu and an excellent teacher to explain such intricate complex techniques that a armless/legless person could do it.

Woah that bow and arrow to clock choke is awesome! Saw it as soon as you got to your knees because it's so obvious but never seen it thought of it before

Nice video! those seatbelt details are money. I do like that weak side arm bar a lot, although I do go high on it and use the Danaher method for breaking the grip, and just pin the elbow to prevent the escape.

Awesome video- thanks for sharing this. Would you perhaps be familiar with Vagner Rocha's "Python Trap"/muffler back-take approach? If so, would you be open to doing a quick tutorial on it? Since it's apparently becoming more popular/used, I've been asked to learn more about it for my grappling class. Let me know! Thanks, Dave

Hi David Iv got a ton of filming projects Im currently working on! See if you can support Vagner directly and learn from him! (-: Tom Davey

Just for the records, in tournaments I choke ppl in the face, nose and in the jaw using my arms, doesnt matter if its a GI tournament or not. But I dont do it in my Academy since I consider it a badass choke..

stunning explanation coach tom!! :3. could you do a video of the wilson/reis pass or how to not get triangle choked during the over under pass? thanks alot 4 all ur videos, they help me out so much ☺☺☺☺
@TheGrapplingAcademy6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Felix my pleasure. IN over under passing, make sure to continuously walk toward your partners legs, NOT toward the pass direction. This keeps the knee pointing upwards, minimizes the stickiness of his leg and ensure the knee cant rotate out for the triangle. OF course, hip pressure, shoulder pressure and a good knee squeeze and nice straight pant grip arm help too...……...hmmmm…seems complicated writing it.....maybe I should do a video on this.
