I think it's interesting that Order 66 is usually signalled by the phrase "Good soldiers follow orders," while Tech's last words while executing Plan 99 were "When have we ever followed orders?" The parallel has been keeping me up at night 😂

I think Pabu is very clearly a reference to the Greek island of Santorini, both in how they look, and in the fact that Santorini itself was heavily damaged by an earthquake in the 50s

And a volcanic eruption in antiquity for which aside from the archaeological site of Akrotiri & the remaining caldera, evidence of the resultant tsunami can be found on Crete. Some have suggested that the volcanic destruction of the civilization on Santorini/Thera/Akrotiri could have been the inspiration for the myth of Atlantis. So had the Batch settled there, their peace would have been broken by an eruption ? But since that isn’t in the cards now I’m not sure what the tie to Santorini would be. Unless they settle there w/ liberated clones @ the end of the series & it erupts then. Hence why we only see Rex, Gregor, & Wolffe in Rebels ? 😬😢 Also I guess it’s obvious but Pabu & Tantiss appear to be opposite reflections of one another w/ the tsunami wall resembling a larger break than the landing pad/entry to Tantiss.

Heres 3 things I noticed: 1) We haven't seen a single imperial ARC-170, Z-95, V-19 and Y-wing in this show. It seems the empire made the V-wing its main starfighter and it covered all roles until the tie fighter line came along and replaced it. 2) When the imperial venator deploys the starfighters and shuttles go through the underbelly hanger instead of the forward section on top. This is what the empire did with the imperial class destroyers. 3) The empire seems to favour shuttles over gunships. In the film, rebels and other EU stories we see them use the lambda and sentinel shuttles to deploy their troops. They have gunships but they wear rarely used. Here they use the the nu and rho class shuttles. The LAAT gunship has only made a few appearances in this show. I love small details like this.

And small detail, the V-Wings still don't make the distinct TIE sound, as first heard it ROTS ending, meaning the scene where Tarkin, Palpatine and Vader gaze upon the Death Star hasn't happened yet

You may have covered it in your episode review with the Zillo Beast, but the opening scene in that episode is a shot for shot recreation of Brett's (Harry Dean Stanton's character) death in the movie Alien.

I'm surprised you didn't bring up the brief appearance of Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine in Truth and Consequences with Ian McDiarmid himself reprising the role. I know he's not an Easter egg by any stretch but I feel it's in the same vein as Pamlo, Gungi and Krennic and worth mentioning. His keen interest in cloning and whatever project Nala Se is being made to work on in Mt. Tantiss is also heavily tied to the operations of Exegol striving to create clones of himself and the creation of Snoke as seen in The Rise of Skywalker. 10:05 I think you mean Tech there Alex lol, I mean I know they have similar skills but of all the times to get them mixed up😅😂

I was very intrigued by the fact that Keisha Castle-Hughes is involved in Star Wars again...especially in light of the appearance of a royal Naboo yacht in the recent Operation: Knightfall flashback in Mando. Could she also be reprising her Apailana role? I thought it was probably a bit unlikely, but now that I see she's employed by Lucasfilm again, perhaps there's a chance after all...

The ipsium mines are basically Fallout vaults. Not sure if these are coincidences, but the Ipsidon episodes seemed to reference Fallout New Vegas a bunch. The setting looks similar. Benni's mask is reminiscent of Ulysses from New Vegas. Benni's voice actor voiced a whole bunch of characters in New Vegas. Benni's name may be referencing Benny from New Vegas.

Ipse is Latin for self. The Batch were entering the mines/caves/underworld to mine/work on themselves & their family after Echo chose to leave them. The crossing = crossing a threshold, a liminal space that you enter to transform. The storm blows up their Ipsium & literally pushes them into the cave where they have to work out their issues. In Indiana Jones his pilot is fishing and catches a fish just as Indy needs him and in the Bad Batch Omega and Tech are fishing and just as the rest of the gang needs them Omega says that they caught something. Turns out to be a giant crab but I thought those scenes lined up

So this question has NEVER been asked as far as I know. Why do all the clones have Jango's accent? Accents are NOT genetic, and Jango didn't really raise them per se like he did Boba, the Kaminoans did. So wouldn't it make sense that they would all speak like Kaminoans? Accents are developed based on your surroundings, so this detail really stood out to me.

​@Erik Brichta, I would assume on screen to mean in canon media such as the films, or more recently, tv shows. Video games have created all sorts of unique vehicles/weapons. For example Empire at War, in order to balance gameplay, had to create unique vehicles for each faction to compliment the other that had little to no basis in expanded media of the time.

@@benjamindrayton1380 Well, Empire at War is canon game to Legends standards, as are X Wing Alliance and TIE Fighter games, where Victories also appeared, so it doesn't really conflicts with rest of the EU just because it is in the game. I don't think we should talk outside the universe to explain something being in some particular media, and besides, various vehicles and ships which originally appeared in games were appearing in books and comics, such as : TIE defender, Star Wing, MC30c... so it's not like videogames are set in their own universe.

@Erik Brichta yep sorry. Victories did appear in a lot of EU stuff in legends. I was more referring to units in EaW that were created for balance reasons like the rebel equivalent of victories. Or the ground artillery platforms that the rebels had to counter AT-ATs. They were created for the games, as opposed to coming from the lore, for the sake of gameplay. Now, that doesn't mean they *shouldn't* be canon. But I don't think they count until they appear in film/tv appropriately.

@Erik Brichta also, also. Until Rogue One, I believe there were multiple versions of how the rebels got the death star plans in legends. So which would you hold to canon? George used to say if I put it on screen, it's canon, and if it appears in anything else, it's canon until it gets contradicted by me on screen.

Question: what's the actual role both Admiral Motti and Krennic had in the construction of the Death Star? In ANH, Vader seems to acknowledge Motti as the central figure in the construction, but in Rogue One it looks like Krennic is the main guy planning the station.

Krennic was dead at this point, and Vader didn't really seem to like him that much anyway, so he probably did a little revisionist history

The construction of the death star structure and superlaser were two different projects. Krennic headed the research and development of the superlaser only and was thus a part of the advanced science division. Project stardust refers to the death star superlaser only.

If you read the book Catalyst you'll know that Galen Erso had been working on it from the time of The Clone Wars. He attempted to get away and Krennic eventually found his family as we saw at the beginning of Rogue One. That beginning of Rogue One may or may not have happened yet in relation to Season 2 of The Bad Batch.

I wasn’t prepared for my comfort show to become the very thing I need comfort from but I still absolutely adore the show. Also I’m glad my ADHD has a reason to like Emerie so much. I got major main character vibes from her and I liked her accent but it never occurred to me how similar it is to Omega’s. It’s absolutely insane how much detail they put into the show. The tunnels in the pod/speedster races are reminiscent of similar tunnels in the Boonta speedster races in “Star Wars: Droids,” which actually introduced the concept and was directly referenced in “The Phantom Menace,” by Jango Fett (whose son, Boba, also appears in those Droids episodes).

Honestly, I never felt anything for the Clones. I, like the Empire consider them living resources and that's It. I know, I know: unpopular opinion. Bla, bla,bla! I feel more Sorry for those First Generation Stormtroopers and all the generations that follow them. I mean these poor devils get the chance to lift themselves out of poverty only to get blasted down by our main charecters as who have a huge advantage thanks to their augmentations and expertise. Same goes for any Jedi or skilled Worrior they might cross.

This season was much better than Season 1 with only a few filler episodes. It’s no Clone Wars, Rebels or Mandalorian but it’s a step up. I find that most Star Wars shows that have a bad or mediocre first season usually get better afterwards. The Clone Wars, Rebels and now this.

If you're mentioning/comparing things, it would be nice to actually show it Not everyone knows these background characters at 9:16 and pictures would refresh our memory, what do the kashyyyk spiders look like in KOTOR? , or what a random glup shitto looked like in phantom menace , Bail Organa's droid in Resistance...? Idk for the viewer's convivence just add the pictures. Not to mention, it would just go a long way for the video itself, like visually comparing anything from the unfinished Clone Wars episodes to Bad Batch. These videos make me feel like I'm using a viewfinder toy. And not in a fun nostalgic way, in a cheap, static slideshow type of way.
