A favorite detail of mine is the crashed Republic Y-Wing in the courtyard outside the Syndulla residence in the Ryloth episodes, which we saw still resting in the same spot in Rebels - Hera explained in Rebels that Chopper was assigned to that Y-Wing, and its crashing in the courtyard is how Hera came to first meet Chopper.

I guess it's fine for him to say that, right? It's just an order, "fire the guns as soon as the crew is prepared", to rephrase it a little bit, it makes sense that he would issue that order regularly to people under his command.

I would argue a small easter egg is Omega having blonde hair naturally like Jango's older sister in the old canon, while all the male clones naturally have brown/black hair. And with the Ordo moon dragons sharing the name of Mandalorian Clan Ordo.

Yeah, with him being the most developed clone outside of Rex and maybe Fives in TCW, him being relegated to the background for most of this season is a disappointment in a show that I otherwise enjoyed. I think the most he did all season was a B plot in one episode where he was mistaken for a droid. I hope he at least gets a spotlight episode in season 2.

It really is incredible how many appearances saw gerrera has made in the new canon! He’s definitely a fan favourite for sure!

I think he adds some interesting nuance to the rebel alliance, it makes the organization feel more realistic and diverse. His methods tend to be much more violent than those normally employed by the rebels, which brings up debates about the distinction between a "terrorist" and a "freedom fighter", but at the same time, he is also shown to be a more proactive guerrilla fighter than the rebels who follow the leadership of politicians like Mon Mothma. Jyn Erso, who was practically raised by Saw, did exactly what he would do and defied the orders given to her in Rogue One, which led to the _critically important_ recovery of the Death Star plans, something the rebel alliance would have never done if they didn't have people like Jyn and like Saw in their midst. So yeah, interesting character that has been used well, he's the bloodied hand of the alliance, as opposed to the gentle, helping hand offered by Mon Mothma.

I think Bracca was first introduced in Resistance Reborn since it technically came out before Fallen Order. It was probably created for Fallen Order and then Rebecca Roanhorse used it in her book, since games have a much longer lead time than books usually do, but the book was released like two weeks before the game was.

Tarkin's insignia plate is representative of Governor, not Grand Moff, even though those ranks do have the same insignia. He is verbally referred to as Governor Tarkin in that episode for the first time.

There were several musical Easter eggs. 1. Camino theme from Attack of the Clones 2. Empire theme from A New Hope 3. Order 66 from Revenge of the Sith 4. Flying theme from Rebels

Not much of an Easter egg but I love it how near the end of the season they played a bit of the original music when they went back to Kamino and I believe during another episode playing the original theme. It's always nice to hear the original tracks, they're rarely ever used in the show.

The music in the episode where the bad batch rescues Gregor is totally a reference to A New Hope. In the episode where Tarkin tells an admiral overseeing project war mantle, he says, "Then I leave this in your capable hands... admiral." This feels like a reference to Empire Strikes Back when Vader was chopping down a bunch of high ranking officers and saying that phrase repeatedly.

Idk if this is related but it appears as though the clone commandos we see at the end have similar grey markings to palpatine’s shuttle in RotJ. I also saw somewhere that those commandos were refered to as imperial guards. I’m curious if the first iteration of palpatine’s gaurds were clone commandos…

7:51 Small correction here - R7-A7 was a graphical glitch, that was fixed a few days later. If you watch the episode now, it is a black and gold R7 unit. It is an R7 unit, just not R7-A7.

I don't know what droid it's supposed to be, but R7 appears in both white, green and red AND the black and gold within the same episode. The shot used in this video is hasn't been updated (18:19 of the episode), but when the Martez sisters contact Rex at the end of the episode, then R7 is black and gold (20:26). Really annoyed me when I saw it.

One thing I think would be worth mentioning is the shuttle used by the empire. At the beginning of the season and when Crosshair lands on Bracca, they use a Republic Nu-class shuttle. Later in the season we get what appears to be a Republic Nu-Class shuttle that has the same head as a nu class, but with a dorsal fin like the Lambda (clearly distinct from the Republic cargo shuttle). It is most clearly seen in the finale when this new shuttle is being escorted by 2 v wings, taking Nale Se to Mt. Tantiss.

There are several helmets in Cid’s office that are probably clone trooper helmets, but there is one that appears to be a cross between a clone trooper helmet and a Mandalorian helmet, similar to the helmets worn by the Mandalorian collaborators (Imperial Super Commandos) from Star Wars Rebels.

The predix 'Ord' is used to denote an ordnance world - a vital supply and logistics hub for the Republic. Ord Mantell, Ord Trasi, Ord Pardron, and many other worlds share this designation, both in the Legends universe as well as modern Disney lore.

4:10 this star commuter 2000 shuttle is extremely reminiscent of the Caravel, a Strato Driver class star shuttle, flown by Mungo Baobab in 1985’s “Star Wars: Droids” cartoon series, which is also set around the same time as “The Bad Batch.” The Strato Driver class shuttles were also utilized by the Fromm gang, a rival gang to Jabba the Hutt in that same series, leading to their capture by Boba Fett. The similar design could be a coincidence, but given the two shows proximity as far as timeline, who knows?

Not an error about tarkin being grand moff. That insignia denotes both grand moff and governor, as seen on governor pryce in rebels. He was actually referred to as governor for the first time in that episode as well.

the reason they gave Tarkin the promotion to Governor and Grand Moff so early is because originally Rampart was introduced as Vice Admiral in the second episode of the Clone Wars, obviously being one rank below Admiral, since they didnt want to keep saying Vice Admiral the whole season since its takes longer and is more difficult to say every time, so they promoted Tarkin to Grand Moff/Gov of the Outer Rim leaving Rampart to take the position of simply Admiral so that way when mentioned the characters can easily say Admiral Rampart instead of the much longer to take and harder to say Vice Admiral Rampart as you can see it easily rolls off the tounge much better when you drop then Vice...

Missed the change in armour and designation of the commando's from CC (clone commando) , to IC (imperial commando) and that their armour as imperials now matches the armour first seen in karen travis' novel Imperial Commando. (The 4th novel in the clone commando series, which should be compulsive reading)

One very small correction. Both Weyland and Mount Tantiss originally appear in the Heir to the Empire books, not the Thrawn trilogy.

Until Zahn wrote the canon series Thrawn and Thrawn: Ascendancy, "Thrawn trilogy" was a perfectly reasonable way to refer to Zahn's original trilogy. He is clearly referring to it when he said "Legends Thrawn trilogy", especially because there aren't any other Thrawn trilogies in Legends, only a duology and a smattering of other books like Outbound Flight
