I love that Richard played piano the exact same way he played the drums...all shoulders, elbows and heart

There are more shots of Richard here, than in the whole of The Last Waltz! He's singing great. Many thanks for sharing.

This a very simple, clean version of song I've listened to several thousand times since July 1970. Once a week would put it close to 3000.

I listen to this song not every week but surely once in a month

Go Richard go! What an incredible voice and talent... Such a legendary ensemble of godly gifted artists. And Robbie... here can be clearly seen how damn good he is at guitar, such a shame his greed made him choose money over friendship and camaraderie

You have no basis on that. The petty Robbie dumping is getting pretty tiring.

Really, you are so right. Those being critical of Robbie need to read Barney Hopkyns biography of The Band and also Robbie's book and you will get a more balanced view. Drugs basically destroyed The Band. I love all of them, especially Rick and Robbie. Robbie did drugs as well, but not heroin, neither did Garth, the other 3 got into deep. Robbie wrote the songs, became the caretaker as 3 of them were basically stoned all the time. If you read his book you will see that he loved all his band members and did the best he could to keep things together, to the point where he was totally exhausted, he had a wife and small children, they kept him somewhat grounded, but as he admitted in his book, none of us were angels, we were all chasing demons, and the race was on. By the way I'm not being judgemental, I'm of that generation I get the drug use (although I refrained from the most part).@@tyrapp262
