@kelvinstrickland263 Rick always seemed like such a great guy. I only got into The Band earlier this year. One of my favourite videos on here is Rick playing When You Awake on acoustic guitar

@ntw04 Yes I was with Rick here in Niagara Falls Canada at my Friend's home in 1998 the last time I seen Him, He gave His Gold Record To Our Close Friend Mark, and I have some Funny Lines,Rick would sign something but always put his twist everytime.

Never got to see The Band proper, but I was here and it was pretty fng awsome. So glad I got to witness some of the greatest musicians of a long gone era. Just found this video, and it really makes me smile 😊 and yea, Bobby with Wasserman was amazing, of course.

I taped this off the FM radio live on the day. As it was the UK they didn't broadcast the whole show and I never knew until now they had played almost two hours! A great find, thanks for the upload. On my recording (now digitised) you can hear the BBC Radio 1 DJs complaining about the length of time it took the guys to swap instruments between songs! The very thing that first attracted me to The Band - their versatility and the range of talents that each individual had. RIP to all those present no longer with us.

yep. I believe the promo for this one was "The Band and Friends". Once heard an interview and they asked McGuinn what he did backstage at the Bob Dylan 30th Concert with all that talent backstage and he said " I just hung out with The Band"

Robbie Robertson I believe became somewhat estranged from the rest of the Band after 1977. I think he owned most of the publishing rights and there were issues about that I think. For whatever reason probably some personal other artistic I think Robertson wanted to move on with life. The others needed to make a living. Manuel of course had died and wasn't there either.
