Bond of friendship is one of the most beautiful marches ever composed and this group certainly does it justice Thanks for posting as I will never see them, but all the best from an avid fan from Durant Oklahoma USA. We can put in some applause right there

Thank you very much for your kind words Bobby and for your support from Oklahoma. I do agree, as I love The Bond of Freindship march too!

MacKenzie -Rogan wrote another march called "The Red Feathers" for the GG Footguards of Canada . It is also excellent but I would think quite difficult to play , maybe that's why it is rarely heard.

Magnificent parade! Brings back memories of when I saw the Royal Canadian Air Force trooping the colours last September for the third time in their history.

1812AndMore The parade was really immpressive, the first time watching an RAF Band! Seeing the Canadian Air Force Trooping the Colour must have been great as well. The Household Division have just announced that The RCA are changing the guard in London from the last week in June.

Swansea. My home town (City) 37 years since I lived there, but I still make regular visits home as often as I can. Love Joes Ice Cream. RAF Band was good also.

Yes that is correct and this is the RAF Band based at the Cranwell college

A great band, which I have seen live many times. How, this recording doesn't do it justice. Not the fault of the band, of course.

Are there any ways in which you can suggest I improve in the filming of the band?

Glorious. That was some huge parade. I liked the inserted music labels. I would do something similar, but I don't know what I am listening to until the comments arrive :) So many people !!! You need to get some stilts Sir... and learn to walk backwards on them :D
@MilitaryBandsEverywhere6 жыл бұрын
Cynocephali There were a lot of people, especially at the beginning, luckilly the crowds thinned out slightly towards the end. I try my best with the music labels as people tend to ask what the marches are! I look forward to seeing more of your videos, The Band and Bugles of the Rifles in Windsor next week?

So they are, and so will I be... time permitting. Nothing certain on this planet. Hoping the weather holds up anyway. Rain is the great video slayer. My camera does not do 'wet', and neither do I :D Cheers Sir !

Excellent job by the band and other parade participants. An event like this should have attracted many more spectators. This reflects poorly on this city.
@MilitaryBandsEverywhere6 жыл бұрын
The parade was publicised really well with Newspaper articals being published even back in Febuary but nothing was mentioned of the route only the start location and there were hundreds of people there and on the main shopping street.

Swansea's only a small city.

@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere That is unforgivable. I'm not sure if the guilty party is the author(s) of the media releases who failed to include route details or the members of the media who chose not to include the route details.

Sorry, was late when I watched. My mistake, watched again. Glad to see any kind of Marching Band these days :) When I was in Tech school in the USAF, I belonged to a Special Activities Squadron, Chorus. There was also Drill Team and Drum & Bugle.
