Thanks for The GAP Band story. Love that you incorporated that Charlie Wilson interview explaining The GAP Bands name as well as Nirvana statement on how they influenced them also. I was feeling The Gap Band from the very beginning, with their 1st song that I noticed ‘Stepping’! My favorite song by The Gap Band is ‘Yearning For Your Love’, and a close 2nd is ‘Humping’. My favorite all time family band is The Jacksons/The Jackson 5. A close 2nd is The Isley Brothers. A close 3rd is The Gap Band. And what Charlie Wilson has accomplished in his solo career is phenomenal. And he’s still going strong!

I Love the GAP BAND always and forever ❤ although two of Wilson brothers have passed on sadly, Charlie Wilson who was the Lead Vocalist on all of their songs is still performing, he has such Beautiful Vocals whether with Ballads,Uptempo songs his range is amazing my Favorites "Yearnin For Your Love" "Outstanding" "You Dropped A Bomb On Me" they were indeed One of many Dynamic Powerhouse Bands of the 70'&80'💯💥💥!!!n
