I think it's awesome to watch this video interview and to know that the Bangles are still together as a band and perform live concerts although Michael Steele has retired and The Bangles very first original bass player is performing with them after more than 30 years Hiatus from the band. The ladies of the Bangles truly are exceptional women. I just enjoyed watching the recent concert where they performed Non-Stop like they were still in their twenties comma and this is totally awesome because they are all 60 plus now.

Greatest band of all time! Wish they would get back on the road, write some new songs, and record + release a new album. At least we have their official biography and accompanying documentary to look forward to. The Beatles did it, The Go-Go's did it, and now The Bangles are finally doing it, too.

they really weren't fully happy knowing that the songs that made it to the charts, we're not written by them. that's why they spent a lot of time writing the next batch of songs, which became the album EVERYTHING, with their best major hit, eternal flame.

Here's my two cents in regards to why there aren't that many women players. EVERY single time I meet a girl who's seen me play, she always inevitably says the same thing: "I always wanted to play guitar!"(note, I play bass) and I inevitably think the same thing: "Well, why DIDN'T you??" One of these days I'll say it out loud...and will probably not get a satisfactory answer. Maybe they’re scared to try, and I only guess that because they act like I scaled Mt. Everest rather than learned to play an instrument. If that’s true, then I guess the next question should be: why are you all scared to learn to play?

Such a shame they fell apart so fast. If only we'd gotten 4 or 5 more LPs from the Bangles in the 1990s, ideally getting back to their guitars and own songs with a sympathetic producer like George Martin.

Was surprised to find out they got their Columbia record deal because the A&R man wasn't sure so dragged Springsteen to one of their gigs for a second opinion and the deal was done. Apparently Susanna didn't know who Miles Copeland was when he offered to manage them. Allegedly her first words to him were "who the f**k are you?"
