did u feel u got a lot of fat? or did u just look better anyway because of the muscle gains? im gaining muscle now around maintenance/slight surplus because of the obsession with 'low fat physique' but i feel im holding myself back by not trying to really gain the weight
@robertmosley11882 жыл бұрын
@@Vayanovic No, I didn't gain much fat (I'm about 12-14% bf). Probably because I haven't gained a lot of weight since I started "force feeding". I was already about 83kg, so only gained 4kg. Fat is pretty easy to lose anyway. I'd definitely recommend bulking (unless you're already 20% bf). Better than spending all that effort in the gym and not having enough fat/calories to actually build more muscle.

24:17 DOUBT IT Anyway, I recall long ago NH predicting his channel will be taken down eventually and it seemed like he was fully accepting it, and as soon as it was actually taken down, I was thinking back to him saying it, and was a bit surprised how happy he seemed to get it back. The accumulated effort he put in his videos, the community and relationships he built seems to have got to him. Or maybe I'm misremembering.
@StandStrength2 жыл бұрын
For GVS its part of his livelyhood. Would you rather lose your job or lose a small part of your hand? I remember NH saying that as well but his channel is becoming like a Magnum Opus. Its hard for any man to put so much into something and let go immediately when life forces you to.
@danielm12 жыл бұрын
@@StandStrength I would rather lose my job than mutilate myself. I can get many more jobs, but I get only one body. And I don't even intend to stay at my job forever. The question is definitely more interesting for an online business. Financial freedom or working very few hours is an attractive idea.
@GVS2 жыл бұрын
I stand by that statement 100%. This isn't just a job. You lose a job, you get a new job. Might even be a better job. I've lost jobs before due to company closures and that's just a minor speed bump in the road of life. But to lose everything and not even being able to start anew? Pretty much every fitness KZbinr I know IS their channel. It's destroying a huge part of who a person is. It's eviscerating their identity and community all at once. It's not just my livelihood, it's something I've spent the majority of my waking hours on for a few years. Little finger is nothing compared to that.

We never had absolute free speech in modern society. Never. And rightly so when you think about it.
@ssdabel2 жыл бұрын
you have to draw a line somewhere, like explicitly urging people to do horrific things probably should be strictly monitored. but now basically everything gets you canceled thats not 100% vanilla pc stuff
@fabioq69162 жыл бұрын
@@ssdabel yes indeed. We have lots of lines: from patent enfringements and copyright to hate speech and unfounded medical claims. The thing about cancelling is that it shows 1) youtube is a private company and can impose whatever rules it likes just as you can evict someone from your home for saying anything at all you feel objectionable and 2) you can say anything you like in public if you are prepared to accept the consequences. My take? Freedom of speech is indeed important but "cancel culture" is nowhere near the threat it is being made out to be. It certainly pales in comparison to the anti-intellectual and bigoted right wing extremism we see on the rise. Not even close. And that these extremists wrap themselves with the banner of free speech (when they would be the first to deny it to others) is a much bigger issue. Example? They want shopkeepers to have the freedom not to serve gays or minorities because "freedom and private enterprise" but whine about KZbin responding to public objections. There is a balance of course, but this meme of cancel culture is being weaponised for the wrong reasons.

Something similar happened to Anthony Pompliano. Big guy, 1.5 million followers on Twitter , 350k subscribers here. Dude has a finance show, mostly foccused on Bitcoin. One day his channel was terminated while streaming. Turned out some random KZbin employee from India (that's the outsourcing Geoff was talking about) decided the show was a scam. He got the channel back in a matter days, mostly thanks to his huge following. Censorship and cancel culture are a real cancer of our times, but sometimes stuff like this is about plain ineptitude.

Bro, almost the entire 1st half of this video was not about fitness but rather about KZbin. I don't watch your stuff to learn how to make KZbin videos (that's up to you to get on with), I watch to actually learn about fitness - and I reckon most of your audience is the same way. Just food for thought so you don't alienate your subscriber base.
@ssdabel2 жыл бұрын
Bro, I have, let's see...398 videos on KZbin, about 99% of it is purely fitness education, I think 30 minutes of talk about something else is not going to ruin anything:) I don't plan to turn the channel into talking about random stuff, so don't worry!
