The BUSH LORE BOOT LACE SHELTER CONCEPT.
The first 24 hours of a bush survival situation generally require you to establish a shelter to assist you in maintaining the necessary thermal regulation of your body mass. Many people either under or over engineer this process, needlessly wasting calories and creating an inefficient shelter structure in the process.
Shelters should be suitable for the climatic conditions of the locality and season. It's not a cubby house or a tent, it is a refuge from the elements. Once you make that shift in thinking the logic of shelter construction becomes self evident. Minimal time, effort and resources for maximum benefit!
