I must be more of an anorak than I know as I considered this variant quite well known. A well sorted 944 was and still is a great car. Funnily enough I once sold a 2.5 944 in gold with a brown interior. A bit of a state and a lucky escape from that one. As for the interior in the Silver Rose, it came in burgundy plaid rather than purple, nothing at all velour about it. Really very smart in period. By my recollection there was full plaid on the seating or part plaid/part burgundy leather which was the better of the two burgundy variations. Much more interesting than the contemporary black in this car. Well worth buying a ticket on Classic Giveaways for anyone who can afford to do so. Good to see TGE out enjoying a car. Thank you.

One of my bigger automotive regrets was not picking up this nice black 944 turbo when the price was at a rock bottom 7k euros about 15 years ago here in Portugal. Imagine how much it's worth now. My guess is around 20k. Plus it was gorgeous in black on black, and I'm not even a black car type of dude.

Tom , hate to be a drag ! Is it me or has the car been painted a different colour ? The Silver Rose edition was the colour with a slight rose effect . This 944 Turbo looks Silver not Rose ? Is the camera not picking up the colour ? Is it a Genuine Silver Rose ? Looks really nice and I do rate them for the way they drive. Top cars. Next car raffle a nice 968 CS or a 968S

not sure if that's a silver rose. but, regardless. it looks to be in great condition. also sans sunroof. kinda rare. i've got a black on black, in LA. not the ideal combo out here. you don't see many on the road. i suspect that when it came time for a new clutch. or, the timing belts. most people weren't prepared for that bill, and the cars got parked - indefinitely. if you get past those hurdles. its an awesome car in the canyons, and back roads

@@ScotlandTravels Unless you are dry storing it and not driving it once for years, which isn't good for the car, it's not an asset. It's a liability. It takes money from you every month. Also. Its not an asset. It's not GUARENTEED to put money in your pocket everymonth. Its not until you sell it that when you get money. And there is no 'set' amount it goes up a year or by month. It just comes from the greedy dealers valuations by overpricing a lot of cars. Why can't you look at cars as cars you want to buy because you like it. Why is everyone obsessed with how much their car is worth and whether If they are going up in price? STOP obsessing over that! Stop buying cars cause you want it to go up in value for you to make money on it. That's why so many people are so financially illiterate, because you don't know the difference between an asset and a liability. People want their cars to be priced like old overrated Porches and BMW's. So far to the fact that anything nowadays is considered a 'classic or a 'modern classic" FFS.

@@TGE Check the sticker in the boot under the carpet that lists the options and color. Silver Rose has a code of LM3Z = silberrosa. Your car looks like a Silver Turbo S. Its also missing the Burgundy Silver Rose interior.
