One of the greatest albums of all time. Interesting history

I had a lot of fun pulling this one together. Really want to grab the actual album on vinyl, as I just have the compilation I show in the video. Thanks for checking it out!

I never got into psych rock but I've found a bay area psych soul group named the Monophonics. And they are amazing!!! Probably my favorite group as of now, and had the pleasure of seeing them live a couple months ago. You should definitely check them out

I’m familiar with those guys, and even have one of their albums in my collection! Gotta say, I have an affinity for the mashup of soul and psychedelic rock! Thanks for checking out the vid as always 🥳

@@AndyFenstermaker what LP from them do you have? I've been obsessed with them and have pretty much all of them, now I'm trying to re buy them all but promo copies. Kelly Finnigan signed all my Monophonics records when me and my wife went to go see them too lol. You have a gift for story telling man, like you should be the guy reading audio books lol. That's what keeps me coming back, even though I may not know a lot of the groups you may talk about, the way you articulate the story of a artist, or band is amazing. And I think your a pretty cool dude lol.

@booieaguilar4792 thanks man! That’s a huge compliment! I love doing it and hopefully they’ll just keep getting better! 🤞 Had to look it up… “Sound of Sinning” purchased new from them on their Bandcamp page in 2015.

@@AndyFenstermaker That's a amazing album! I'm such a big fan of them I spent a decent amount buying colored 1st pressings of their catalog, and Sounds of Sinning had a very limited run on red and orange wax when it first released. That's probably my most expensive Monophonics record.

Waffles appreciates the attention 😆 definitely need to include him in future vids… along with his soon to be sister Millie!

Their sound is pretty interesting, Mary Jane sounds like a MGMT song.

Oh interesting-never thought about that but I can see a little parallel. Especially their new album.

That item was pulled from the summary of a 2014 interview with late drummer Dean Nimmer on Radio Milwaukee and relates specifically to the year 1967 (when both were released) and the local Milwaukee market.
