This was an amazing good comparison of two different 718 models. You have dealt very comprehensively the arising questions dealing with PASM and Sport Chrono in relation to the base specification. All these questions I have addressed to German Porsche Dealers, but I didn't get such worthful answers as you gave to us.

Michael, what an amazing attention to detail! I wouldn't even have thought that the gap between the glove compartment and the cup holder strip on the colored interior would be so visible. Although for me personally, this gap would still not be a reason to refuse espresso with cognac. It's great idea to ditch aluminum or carbon strips. We are really looking forward to the story about the impressions of the car after already six months of ownership.

Very helpful. I’m really starting to look at the Cayman as an option and the option list for the base isn’t as crazy as it is for the S but there is still lots of customization available and hearing an owners perspective helps.

Very close to my own Miami Blue 2.0 Cayman just a few differences based around parking it in a tight fit garage but I also love the added acceleration and performance of PDK and the heated steering wheel here in the chilly UK not to mention the 20" wheels that add enormously to the front / side on view - beyond belief.

Perfect! 1) how comfortable are the seats for long trips 2) how is the manual, as precise as Honda Civic si? 3) clutch take, pedal feel, braking modulation, in cornering predictable? 4) turbo does it loose steam towards redline ? I have one question related to seats, I am considering the 18-way seats for more adjustability (thigh support mainly as I am somewhat tall guy - 195 cm), now Im wondering if the adjustability comes at a cost (besides added. weight) of being somewhat taller due to added electronics? Having my height in mind, head clearance is not great and loosing centimetres due to higher seats would probably be a deal breaker for me (in terms of the seat choice). Sadly the dealership only has the sport plus with 2-way adjustability option. Thank you and please keep the videos coming.

I saw your IG post on sport plus seats (2 way) vs 18 way and the conclusion of manual being not necessary. What about the lumbar adjustment though? To me, those 4 adjustments seem to be what gives me the hardest time in cars w no adjustment. I make 250 mile trips often so is the sport seat plus comfortable enough for long drives?

First of all, go and try both seats yourself - please do not rely on anything other people say about seating comfort. There is plenty of used cars out there for you to try different options. Next, yes I do consider Sport Seats Plus a better choice for a manual car even for a longer trips. However my personal thing is that I do not like using adjustable lumbar support in general. Those movable cushions create more discomfort for me than do good.

@@ForeverManual I totally understand and agree. It’s a fine line for me too. Too much bolstering or too little and it’s uncomfortable. The car I’m driving now has good lumbar but the thoracic portion is way to forward and I hate it. You are right though - I need to sit in each seat! Cheers mate and I hope you still love your car!
