Brushless version coming tomorrow . I ll see if it handles a small hbx 3s battery and a 2200 zee 3s . Probably better off just to enjoy the 2s . 3s puts the heat on and they defintely burn out somethjng easier . Not just in this one but all the 2s /3s . I was beginning to think the same thing about the Kraton 6s …that 4s is enough to have a good time with . I just can’t help myself though

I put a 2s 2200 mah 50c in my grandsons and the ESC cannot handle it. As soon as I plugged the battery in, the ESC was burning hot so I replaced it and also had to buy a fly sky transmitter and receiver and it seems to work just fine now. Just thought I would let you know that the ESC has the receiver built in

Good to know. I bet that esc was defective. It should have been able to handle just being plugged in. Weird! Either way you got a better esc! Thanks for the info almost a year ago 😅

Man would you happen to know the dimensions of the tires on this truck. I have a little 1/14 team associated reflex 14t That I'm turning into my own version of a Mini kraton But I'm trying to find some cars that have enough mass to try and do a backflip but still have enough clearance to turn the wheels. Tires in the 75-80mm OD range hard to find.

No problem. Outer diameter of the tires is about 88mm. Width of the tread is about 48 mm 👍

The brushless and oil shock hbx 16889 pro-a (is that the right name?) can be found for $4 to $5 dollars over that $99 price. What is the size difference? It will be a hard fought battle to usurp the absolute king of budget bashers in the HBX 16889. I have many other and much more expensive bashers, but my little HBX brushless oil shock truck is about as fun, affordable, fast, and durable as they come. It is by far the best value in RC that I have come across. This Rlaarlo seems less in at least two of those categories and is only matching in price. Maybe the 3s test will provide some intangible fun factor? I love what Rlaarlo is attempting to do, but pricing is not in line with performance.

I agree the HBX 16889a pro is hard to beat. I really like mine with oversized tires on it. But I haven’t seen it less than $130 (thats just looking on Banggood). Kinda leaves it up to personal preference. I doubt this rlaarlo would be as durable, but it may have it beat in performance a little bit and has better handling due to the lower stance. The rlaarlo is a little bigger overall too. Eventually I’ll probably do a small scale comparison video.

The tires on mine unglued off the rim on the first day of testing how fast it goes I used gorilla glue to put it back on but it seem like gorilla glue not strong enough to hold the tire to the rim due to amount of speed I guess

Wow, tires do come unglued but not usually that quick. Yes you should use actual tire glue/CA glue/super glue

I have theb144002 and I bought 1 pieace heavy duty axles front and rear....they are worth it for 20 bucks

Maaaan, that’s a tough call. This one is. A little bigger and has a bit higher top speed. Hard to tell if it’s more durable yet. I can’t fully answer that yet lol. Which looks better to you?

@@DerbyCityRC I'm eyeing the hyper go brushless MT but it seems to have range problem and maybe only comes with 2s so I'm not sure.. but it has LEDs and this doesn't

I Hear ya. I wanted to believe that the hyper go is as strong as the hbx 16889, since they share the same chassis, but I’m kinda thinking the hyper go has a lesser grade plastic. Can’t tell for sure yet. While this one does say 3s, I’m skeptical. Probably fine in short runs, but I think it would overheat if driven too long. I’ll be doing that today maybe and video out probably in 3 days. This one does have LEDS on the front bumper though.

Ya I think this truck with a brushless kit would be pretty great. I’ll be doing that soon 😁. Hopefully she holds up, but luckily, there are endless upgrade parts for this chassis. That’s another plus! Are you gonna get it for the $99 on the 23rd? Wait for that link cuz it’s actually not on sale on Amazon for that price I just found out. I’ll have a specific link for it 👍

Hey I just recently brought the brushless version and my steering on the car keep vibrating left to right on its own , do you know what does that mean? Do I have to do a whole calibration on transmitter ??? Help me please
