Just to add some context, whilst there definitely are Bashkirs in Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and other European post-Soviet states the numbers were around 1,000 or less (as I recall). This is why I did not include them.

The history of bashkirs was interesting, but there is many mistakes. What are your sources? There is noone called Timurlane. His name was Timur or Tamerlane and today's boys name are timur, temur or tamerlan. But not TIMURLANE - you mixed those both names together. And you should also more focus on the pronunciation because you are saying bullshits. There is writen SABANTUI and you say HABATUI (when S sounds like H? why you left out N?)... or the food is called beshBarmak and you say beshMarmak. Magyar is not pronounced as maGYar .. in hungarian "GY" sounds like soft D sound => madyar. (English doesnt have this sound but it is present in hungarian or most slavic languages from russian to czech. and we can continue further and further.

English is my mother tongue and my pronunciation of Slavic and other language words are affected by it. It is clear what I am talking about and often, in the Anglophone sphere, certain terms are pronounced differently than in their native tongue. Furthermore, in English (and the Anglophone world) Timurlane is an accepted name for the 14th found of the Timurid Dynasty. It is a corruption of Timur the Lame. Regarding sources, I actually made a video about that a little while ago which you may want to check out. Otherwise, I'm happy to substantiate claims accordingly.

I see the confusion - Turkic means that they speak a language or have a culture recognised as having roots in Proto-Turkic. In this case it is their language that makes them a Turkic ethnic group, not their DNA as that would literally change from Bashkir to Bashkir.
