I'm no expert, but I do enjoy a nice cup of coffee.
I know this channel is about games, but you drink something while playing every now and then, right?
If you don't, then why don't you give it a try?
Let me know what you think!

If you liked this video, you may also want to know that there's research out there saying that coffee makes heart and vessel disease (cardiovascular disease) worse because it raises LDL cholesterol, but that’s not the whole story! We now know that LDL particles can either be large and buoyant, or small and dense. When LDL particles are large and buoyant, they can help decrease risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). And coffee can transition LDL particles from small and dense to large and buoyant, decreasing CVD risk!

I work at a Starbucks, and our drip coffee sucks because most baristas don't stay on top of properly brewing new coffee at the right times; plus our coffee machines aren't all that great to start with. If you actually buy our beans, though, and take it home to grind and brew yourself, we have a lot of really great quality coffees!

@@donotbeyou If you like darker, richer coffee, try the italian roast - it's really good in a french press, but it's very, very oily. I also really like the blonde espresso roast in a french press as brewed coffee. And, of course, the reserves are all great, but very expensive - like $23 for a half-pound bag. The Vietnam Da Lat and the Kenya Barichu are good - the Kenya actually tastes /juicy/, which is not something you would expect from coffee!

Amazing video, gets to the point and explains it in an easy to understand way, but I disagree with the tablespoon part. Tablespoons are inconsistent to different roasts and blends, so what I do is use a scale. When using a scale, I do 23 grams of coffee beans to 350 grams of water for single origins, and 30 grams of coffee beans to 350 grams of water for blends. This develops a more consistent taste than measuring in tablespoons.

Nice video with all the essential basics wrapped up! If you want more taste out of your coffee you can add a bloom-phase to your brew. Just add the first 1/5of the water together with the ground coffee and let it rest for 45 seconds before adding the rest of the water slowly. I have found that this step adds to the flavour, sweetness and body of the coffee.

in indonesia that'd be called "kopi tubruk". tubruk, an informal form of "tabrak", which means "clash". so the coffee grounds 'clash' with the hot water. it's pretty much the default method but i loathe it since it takes time before it's really ready to drink and am one impatient kid, lmao. but it's nice with hella fine grounds, tho. and the taste is defo richer compared to using filters. throughout experimenting with limited tools and resource, the only brewing method that produces a taste that can compete with tubruk imo is french press. but that also take time, and as established, am impatient as h*ck. 🤪

With the Espro French Presses, you can also use a paper filter on their plunger/filter system. This also filters out the oils so you get a healthier, more clean cup but also that French Press taste. Really nice for every day use. :) If you don't use a paper filter, just drink 1 french press cup a day at most.

And the cases of whole beans I always ordered for work of any variety were always Arabica.

As an ex-barista I approve what's being said here. The only detail - for me flavour is the most important thing. French press is also a filter coffee, in a way (cuz it has a filter lol ;D). Doesn't matter what way of preparing coffee (either it's other filters, like V60 or Chemex or Aeropress) the taste always has to be both smooth and rich, that's what I seek personally. And also, if u got an opportunity, grind your beans at home and when done, try to pour water as fast as possible (you have to pre-prepare water). Thx for the vid!

It's also suggested that you stir the French press for four minutes or so, to get the most out of your ground coffee beans. So I wonder why they didn't mention this, cause I've tried both and it's way better stirred. Although very time consuming and tedious. Also some coffees say you should add two tablespoons per cup of coffee. Which ends up being more (double) coffee beans.

I know it's not a coffee site, but just a few suggestions: 1. Buy an inexpensive scale that can measure grams. Use 1 gram of coffee per 18 grams of water. I rinse my paper filter with hot water, put in 20 grams of fresh ground coffee, then put the cup, filter, and coffee on the scale. Then I slowly pour in 360 grams of 200° water. 2. Buy whole beans and an inexpensive ($20?) blade grinder. Pre-ground coffee is usually stale. Enjoy!

Nice video! I like to have a medium, even light roast and 20g of Coffee per a cup with around 150-200 ml volume. I tend to use the filter since it's just easier to clean - often you don't even have to clean it. But whenever i make more than one cup, i switch to the french press.

Thanks for the video. The best way to make coffee is not French press or filter coffee but Turkish or Arabic coffee. Slowly on a small, light fire.

I get freshly ground Coffee from a nearby store. I use South Indian filter to make black coffee in the morning to enjoy sunrise. It is very easy to make and tastes awesome. A great way to start a day.
