What I've learned for almost 2 years practicing is this: When in doubt, use incense, moonlight or sound (especially when it comes to crystals). Edit: I forgot that, if anyone lives on a place in which incense and candles are banned, definitely go for moonlight and sound. This won't make you any less of a witch. I mention this because the amount of people who have "claimed" that my practice is incorrect just because I avoided this methods for a year and a half (because UK and their fire prevention measures), is astounding. Sometimes you have to pick your battles.

I once had something visit me in my work room one night and made me uncomfortable, so I "shooed" it away by opening my window and clapping around my room towards it. I don't think it came back since. I also recently made my own florida water and I love it! Pretty much anything and everything vaguely witchy I've done recently included a quick spritz of diluted florida water in a spray bottle. Instant spiritual headache relief.

I've been in a big rut with my practice and have recently gotten back into it starting with the basics such as cleansing protecting and grounding so this came out at the perfect time haha Also another way of cleansing that I really like that goes into the element of water is using cleansing sprays. Very good for the witches who can't burn incense or candles :D

Witchy craft videos is the best type of videos lmao. Amazing video Nike!! I would love to get a bell and do sound cleanses but the thing is that I don't own a bell so I just use a candle or incense to do the trick

Bells are usually easy to find and very inexpensive at 2nd hand stores, which is where I got mine for just $1 (after 50% off for that days tag color 😁) for my altar. Another option is to make or buy a string of witches bells for your door and use them. I ordered over a dozen bells themselves for under $10, got miniature grapevine wreaths (to go over my doorknob) for $2 each at a craft store, and used cord, ribbon, and pentagram charms, triple goddess/moon phases charms, and other charms that I already owned to put them together, with 3 bells dangling from each wreath. They turned out really well. Ready made witches bells are about 2 for $10 on Amazon. The purpose of witches bells is to keep out evil spirits and negative energies, so I wanted to use them in several places around my home.

As a Gnostic/Hermetic I use consecrated water to cleanse my altar and such. It's only something I recently started to do but it has been working well.

I've had to switch from cleansing with herbs and incense to sound cleansing with a bell because I acquired a cat and smoke inhalation is not good for them. Though on occasion if the cat is in a different room I'll break an incense stick in half and burn it for a room cleanse

Ok so I need help. I’ve been trying to learn witch craft for a while, but since then I keep hearing scratches from my wall. And my cat won’t even come near me sometimes when I’m in my room. And I try tarot reading for the fun of it and it’s always talking about demons watching over me. So I don’t know what’s happening because I always feel like theirs weight on my shoulders and feel so tired and not eating as much as I used to so I don’t know if it’s true about the demon. And I really need help finding what it is and why it’s doing this. Thank you

Hey, I'm a baby witch as well but i think you should do a deep cleansing (for starters) and you could put protection sigils if you know how to do them and also warding magic to your space. This should get rid of any negativity. At least it works for me. Give it a try, it can't hurt!
