This is a good tutorial! But you should also mention that using numbers in wills in casual games is fine but in ranked they need to use names in wills. 😊 Most people who watch these probably don't play ranked but they should know how it works in there aswell ^^

I also use numbers when playing ranked, as it's much more convenient than reading all the names and trying to find what number they are. Not to mention inappropriate names. But needless to say, names are not required in ranked and if someone tells you otherwise, they're wrong.

Why use names BTW? I use numbers and whenever I see someone use a name, I end up wasting time trying to figure out who they are talking about. And before you say I just play casually, I mainly play in Nekrolatry streams, which is just as sweaty as Mid-High elo lobbies. So yeah, I know some people use names over numbers, but that only helps people who use the same name every game. For people like myself who do not use the same name every game, using numbers is much better. It also helps the other 13 players. If you still want to use names, put numbers as well please. Much better for everyone and not that much less efficient.

Depends on the mode. If it is TT, claiming jailor as GF, Mafioso or RM, can be a good idea to "confirm" Jailor as TT, distracting from whoever your real TT may be. In Ranked though, yeah, probably those gamethrowing Saint guys.

I just started playing today. Are you supposed to use the will as a way to keep notes on what you think? Why do you keep notes??? I’m so confused

So typically a will is labeled as [Your Name] the [Your Role]. The main usage is the put N1 (Night one) - and what you did that night. This really only applies to town however, and as an evil you’re supposed to put something fake. So Here’s a full example Shadow the Sheriff N1 - 13 (inno/gf) N2 -14 (sus) Essentially what that shows is night one I visited 13 and they showed as innocent (godfather shows as inno as well so that’s why it’s inno/gf). 14 was checked night 2 and they showed as suspicious. That’s something you report to town. Even if you die, it’s important town knows who you visit! If you’re playing something with a role list and not all any, I put abbreviations for each role on the list and fill it in with what everyone is claiming. I would recommend watching some of my ranked videos to understand that process. Hopefully all of that helped! I’m gonna be doing a ranked tutorial video that goes more into the advanced procedures of everything as well if you’re looking for more advanced stuff

So what happens is in your will, like the comment from Shadow says, it is to keep track of info, whether from yourself or others. Most people use it almost entirely as a note pad, but using it for just a record of your nightly activities, whether real or fake, is all that it is really needed for. The reason this is useful is because, let's say x claims that y is inno, but now z has found y as sus. Well now, since you recorded the info, you can hang the possible evil and find at least 1 other evil, or maybe the person is framed. Thanks to recording all info, this is very good. It is also good to have a consistent will for people to see, so you do not accidentally change what you said you have done. Keeps yourself consistent for when you are evil.

Sorry for the late comment! I was on a fairly extended vacation (aka in school). BG is a short term for Bodyguard, which is what that particular player was claiming as. TOS players use a lot of short writing typically, but that's mostly solved with the # system in TOS2!

That was an example of 1f1, which stands for "one for one". This means that you vote one person and if they're innocent, you get the other person. You lose one person to get a guaranteed evil. So by me saying "toss" I really meant you vote them, but KZbin isn't too fond of the word "hang" usually

I made this video around the start of my channel, so I spoke a lot slower back then! Granted, speaking fast and clear can also be difficult to achieve, so for a tutorial I think the slower speech actually works better in this case. If you want it to go faster, there's a setting to make it go faster!
