Vigi is a powerful town killing role that has the potential to radically change the game through taking shots at supicious members of the town. Controlling voting power is critical to evils winning the game and vigilante complicates that.

Completely true, had a coven all/any game where I more or less carried town playing quiet vigi and shooting the quiet or scumreading people. Ended up shooting Poisoner and 2 mafioso.

When I shoot quiet people they often turn out to be RT Doctor. I'm too afraid of shooting a town because of a wrong scumread and getting bombarded with hate words from town because of it. I may as well shoot who I absolutely know to be evil. TK isn't for me. I like TI more. My luck with being Sheriff is legendary.

Once I was playing vigilante, and I was letting my brother play for the first time. He decided to random shoot N2 and that person just so happened to be immune. Afterwards, he had to leave so I hopped back on. I told town that person was immune, and they hung him. He was GF. So now, I'm pretty much confirmed vigi. But for SOME reason, when they ran out of leads the next day, you know what they decide to do? That's right! Lynch me, the confirmed vigi, because I "could be SK". I tried to explain what happened, and why I couldn't be SK, (like me getting roleblocked on N1, when there was an SK kill) but they lynched me anyways, and maf won the game.

When Leyla died I knew exactly she was disguiser. Mafia visited Check Checm twice the night he died. One was GF the other was unknown. Leyla knew she was vigi because she knew Check was vigi. It was pretty simple to realize at least to me.

How to play vigilante properly: -If there’s TK claims, don’t ever cc - there can be multiple TKs -If there’s transporters, ignore them - what are the odds that they transport someone you’re shooting? -It’s okay to sit back and never shoot - after all, the jailor has infinite exes -When in doubt, just shoot anyone that ever disagrees with you

Yeah, those random shots can sometimes be a blessing in disguise, but too often they end in disaster. Personally, I've noticed that there only seem to be 3 types of Vigilantes in ToS, regardless of game mode. You either get those like Skimm who scumread everybody and shoot accordingly, you get people like me who are usually way too conservative and don't choose to shoot until it's too late, and then there's people like you in that game you described (and I only mean in that specific game, because I assume you don't normally do that) who just shoot at people because lulz.

hi skimm i love all your videos, i never miss one. i have to tell you the game i just finished 30 minutes ago. I was hex master, i looked very townie in d1 and d2, i got the nk. i hexed and told coven to select another victim everday. our coven leader exed day 3 by jailor. i was still writing who was hexed to my coven at night. day 4 one coven member sacrificed himself to cover for us, N5 there was 5 town, 2 coven, 4 hexed town. i went for the 5 hex. next day boom 5 dead town by hex master, coven wins :D :D it was great my best hex game

I don't like the doc's attitude at the end, but I do support his play to not be on Jailor and help stop the Jailor n1 meta. In saying that, he did get a heal off and town did win, so Jailor n1 claims aren't necessary. Also I would say you played well, but that was super easy for you, you had super obvious guilties with a LO not on Jailor, sk who was wrong and consig who was wrong. But I will say you help the game together and kept town ahead in votes long enough to get that win, as always you are head first demanding claims and keeping town active. Good video.

Hey skimm, could you make videos explaning how certain roles work. Im fairly good at TOS, but I need to work on my mechanics. In particular I'm confused on how transporter and all roles coven game mode specific roles work such as crusader, coven, etc. If you already have those vids or have a great source to point me to, then please explain. I have a Game that i like that's similar to Enemy On Board.It's actually a game inside of a game, the game is in Starcraft 2's Arcade and is called Parasite Zeta. I'll give you the basics (And how each game mode works) So There is an alein which is called the "Alein Host" If it is grey, That means the aleins went Mind. You can transform into your alein form at will, though you will take a little more damage for 10 secs. The game forces you to change when the host Evolves. The host has full strength and the ones that got fested are Spawns, which have about 20% reduced stats in alein form. Don't do this on cams, however because something called a-sec will find you out if you Attack and untargeted player on cams or transform on cams, which target you can out you. The Gamemodes: Classic: Alein, nothing else Zeta: Alein OR syndicate, with a chance for Android and/or Pison Chaos: Syndicate, Aleins, Android AND psi all simltaniously, For beginners, i suggest Classic, There are also Station Upgrades, which if your Evil, Can Be Sabotoged to grant buffs or nerfs Ex: Autos do not remove Radiation or Instead of Psion taking 10% extra damage and dealing 10% less Psi takes 10% LESS damage if psi gets it and 10% moere damage dealt. Genes:Aleins Cannot get genes nor can Android. This can be used to Prove one's Innocence or Guiltiness The Host can get a gene that just gives him 250 Evo Pts. Evo Pts are used to evolve to better alein forms. You can Increase your gain by Laying Eggs (Body Alein) or Making Shrines (Mind Alein) Mind alein has better spells but cannot make minions (can still make spawns) Certain Forms cannot disguise as human form Ex: Mind--> Voltic or Body--> Velocraptor Or any T4 Evolution T4 cannot spawn people and cannot disgiuse as Human. Certain Forms have T5s (T for Tier), Which are Extremley powerful but only apply to the host and if the host dies in T5 all spawns simltaniously Die regardless. If Host dies in Most T4's or below, All spawns become even weaker for a time, untill the new host is chosen This is only describing the Aleins, And something else about alein is There are Alein Pens, Which if Reasearched, Will (If Non-alein Reseracher) Increase the Amount of Points Required to Evolve If the Reseracher is Alein Doc or Alein CIO It Decreases the amount of points required to evolve. This section of Explantion is Completley useless in a Non-Chaos Syndicate Game Edit: This is why i recommend new players play Classic Also another gamemode is RolePlay (RP) Which is Zeta but you have to play it out according to your job and role Alein rather Agressive or Space Doggo for the most part, Droid acts like a Robot,And psi uses abilites according to emotions. Metagaming in this Gamemode Is Banable

What do you do if a jailor decided on a not so bright tactic when you claimed vigi in jail n1 and tells you to shoot silent ones next night or he will exe you n3? I had this happen a few times, once he told me to shoot someone, we ended up hanging that, was a good scum read, but then he exed me... coz he wanted me to shoot him, not hang him.

Yesterday, I had an escort game in coven RP where I almost ended the towns whole career. N1 I roleblocked a psychic who ended up dying to sk. N2 I roleblocked somebody else who turned out to be a retributionist who was going to bring back the psychic, and I ended up dying to SK. So the whole town decided to lynch the retributionist claim because they didnt bring back the psychic and escort died to SK when they were roleblocked. So I ended up almost making town lose the whole game while making sure a psychic didnt get to play the game.

My favorite vigi game personally was based on extreme luck. Confirmed vet N1 that killed the escort and sheriff. The mafia killed the doc. And there was an sk attempted killed the person healed. So I was like I gotta shoot tonight as we are losing majority fast. And shot someone who was vfring but refused to claim. We couldn’t push them up. So I shot them that night and the next day they didn’t die but the mafioso did. There was a Rt trans that moved the two. And the person I almost shot turned out to be jailor. And then two people came out claiming the jailor was evil. Jailor claimed who he was gonna jail and I shot the other. And then shot the SK N4 claimed rt doc. So yeah that was my best vigi game that almost went south badly

A couple minutes into the video, but I felt compelled to mention this: You weren't confirmed not Mafia D2 because of the transport, Skimm. The Spy only died to the SK. Mafia didn't attack. EDIT: This game is the perfect example of what happens when townies with powerful roles pay attention. Although, to be perfectly fair, they were all pretty easy shots considering how flimsy the first 2 claims were and how the Consig basically outed themselves as the GF was being lynched. The only question I have about this game is where the hell was the TP N2? Unless the Jailor got transported (which they weren't), there's no reason the Jailor should have died. Regardless, I enjoyed the video Skimm. Good work once again. Still wondering about your thoughts on the Town Traitor mode Beta, if you've been a part of it.

No? Because of the transport he was confirmed NOT mafia as mafia can't target mafia to begin with... And since Mafioso died, Skimm was targetted thus being NOT mafia.. Or am I just dumb?

@@lazzi02 Yes, Mafia can't target Mafia. But the two people who died N1 were the Spy, who died to SK, and the Mafioso, who left the game. Also, the Transporter specifically said in his will Skimm was transported with the SK victim. So since it wasn't a Mafia attack, Skimm was not confirmed good.

Destroyer Of Games The SK is immune/has very strong defense, I guess. They might have been transed with the GF, but I'm not sure.
