I’ve got a question regarding effects, how do i make an effect (like snowflakes for example) last for a certain amount of time? When i tried it just recently and added it to one of my video-clips it lasted the whole video through. I would just like to have it for a couple of seconds at the beginning of the clip? Thanks in advance!
@tasteofnebraska4 жыл бұрын
@@Izak80 I just checked the FX menu and there is not stop/start or duration time for the effect but what you can do is use the red bar to cut where you want the snow to start, cut where you want it to stop. Highlight the clip where you want the snow to happen and apply the snow to just that clip.
@Izak804 жыл бұрын
@@tasteofnebraska Thanks for the Quick reply. I sort of tried that but from what i could see cutting (using the scissor icon) a video-clip made the video freeze for a millisecond right where the cuts were and i don’t want that to happen. I’m gonna try it again though just to be sure.

Excellent video. Went through lots of videos yesterday to try to find one that would get me to a point where I could make basic content and get it uploaded. Every video I watched I soon found was poor. I then found your video and in a couple of hours of watching and trying the software alongside with my own videos and pictures I am confident I am in a position to produce a video and get it uploaded. If anyone reading this is looking to get started with Video Pad then this is the video to watch first.

Thank you for watching! I'm a bit long winded but I wanted to cover the most important details so you could at least get a video finished.
@we-are-electric14454 жыл бұрын
@@tasteofnebraska It's not long winded,it covers enough detail for someone new to the software. It is easy for someone familiar with the software to get casual with the mouse - so it is not always 100% clear what they are selecting. The number of times I have seen a mouse cursor whizzing round the screen and I have no idea what the person is clicking on. People presenting videos often miss the point completely and the video is rendered useless very quickly. When I see a video like that I just move to the next one quickly and try that instead..After all, your video was less than half an hour and has got me to the point where I am confident of getting my first video together.. I managed to emulate most of it on the first pass - revisiting it again to cover a couple of points that didn't work so easily first time. I've spent less time on your video than I have watching other videos that I have given up on. I hope this post will encourage others to stop at this video and watch it through. A second video on more use of text and also putting your own voice over at different points of the video probably covers most of what I ever see on KZbin videos.

Hello there Travis, Many thanks, much appreciate all the vital tips you give us... What would be the difference - when EXPORTING the project - in observing the process you give us (TimeCode @ 20:00) which seems totally logical, and just hitting the 'export to You Tube button' the program gives us in the export list? Cheers
@tasteofnebraska3 жыл бұрын
The reason why is that I save all of my videos on an external and second internal hard drive on my computer. By doing a traditional export I have a copy of my video that I can save wherever it may be necessary. Uploading to KZbin is fine but you get less initial creative options vs. using the KZbin creator studio but at least Video Pad gives you the option.

Hey Travis, me and my colleague have pretty much completed our project using this programme. But there’s one issue, in the form of two grey vertical bars that show up in the audio file section and cause a “glitch” or short gap in the audio during playback. I really would dearly love to know how to get rid of them ..could you please help😞kind regards From New Zealand ❤

Possibly try a fade in with the audio at the start and end of the audio clip.

Thank you for sharing this. I am trying to edit and put up on YT the last 40 plus years of my home videos. Right now I have to upload the whole video to YT and edit it from there which is challenging. I have not figured out how to do this through Video Pad. For some reason I get other videos that come through onto the one I am trying to upload and it doesn't save the edits. I will watch your video and thank you.

You should be able to click on that clip in the production line and apply a special effect to make it move.

How can you speed up a certain clip or clips of a video and add music to it?
@tasteofnebraska2 жыл бұрын
Check out my advanced features part 2 video. I think I covered what you are asking for. As for adding music that is easy. Just drop your music file on the source library on the left side of the editing window and add the music to the timeline for any soundtrack you want.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial :) Do you know the video maximum length that NCH VidepPad can to compose ?
@tasteofnebraska3 жыл бұрын
I've read 3-4 hours but be prepared for some long processing or export times unless you have a powerful computer.

hello i am in great need of help. everytime i use videopad to edit a video it creates a bunch of temp files that take over 50gb of storage! please someone help i dont know how to fix this
@tasteofnebraska2 жыл бұрын
I think that this is done in case you accidentally force quit on the program or experience an error. Which folder are these going into? I set my working/temp file to save to the desktop instead of a docs folder and then once I export my video I delete the temp file if I am happy with the final product.

When doing your titles. How do you make the video show up on previous screen. So you know you can drag your titles exactly over where you want them? Help!
@tasteofnebraska Жыл бұрын
You can drag the left and right side of the title box so that you can make the duration longer on screen. You can also grab the title box and move it so that the titles are positioned exactly where you need them.

I was thinking that if the video was in a so mo format the video editor would bring it in that way. You can add slo mo if you want to. Check out my part 2 episode on advanced features.

How long of a video can you make?
@tasteofnebraska3 жыл бұрын
The software company claims you can load at least 3 hours so in my opinion I would say you are limited to the size of your hard drive.

I copied the source files from my old XP machine to my new W10 machine and it works so far. NCH seem to say that'll work unless you try and run both.....I've created new videos on my W10 machine but admittedly not rendered them yet to see if there's a watermark on the final video..
