The Japanese voice actor of Ra Moon was the Legendary Norio Wakamoto. The same Japanese voice actor of cell in dragon ball as he later go on to voiced High Max in Mega Man X6 btw.

Speculation: Ra Thor is the prototype for Bass and Zero, going by the coloration and shape respectively. I am guessing the Evil Energy from MM8 was merged with Ra Moon's EM wave technology to invent the Robofluenza, and ultimately the Maverick Virus. Heck, the Cyber Elves might be a version of Evil Energy that has been purified.

I find it unfortunate that this game is deemed too dark for Megaman. I think it paints Ra Moon as a truly threatening villain that isn't Dr. Wily.

5:39 It's likely it's after or before 8, mainly due to release date. It's after 6 as there's an enemy from it in it, but can't be before 7 as Wily is not in prison, so it's more plausible it's after that too

This is the first of your Obscure October characters that I recognized before clicking on the video, and I liked how they were portrayed in the Archie comic. I always found it weird though to see Wily tramping through the jungle like some Indiana Jones/Lara Croft style archeologist. He's a futurist, what value was there for him in those ancient ruins? He's so old and he barely goes anywhere without his flying capsule, without the aid of anything electronic he'd probably die of heat exhaustion before he ever found Ra Moon.

Actually The lanfrant name is a mistranslation of l'enfant (a frensh world that mean a kid) I've heard that from windii (known for translating rockman X manga and sonic stuff)

I always liked SAR and bought it for little money on eBay years ago. Despite what Inafune says, I count it as canon and accept the darker tone compared to most other Classic Series games. Ra Moon and the connection to the Stardroids is well executed by both Gigamix and Archie too, let alone Duo having his original manga design (that always reminded me of the evil robot tbh) for some time too. For Archie, it was funny how Dr. Light figured Wily and Robotnik used Ra Moon to clone his robots again, while also not letting Ra Moon access the Chaos Emeralds. Gameplay wise we got the Double Mega Busters because of Ra Moon, which ever since is one of my favourite things about Rock compared to any of his other incarnations, and it got even "fixed" in MegaMan 11 and Smash Bros if you so like 😆

with the stardroids ties to ra moon(cool ariga implied a version of him might exist in megamix/other manga have included him as i love archie making him the creator of shadow man/stardroids/evil energy in 8 implied to become roboenza and the wily/sigma maverick virus.)as a super computer could see in teppen pyron from darkstalkers(who also made alien robots in the huitzil/phobos)being ra moon/stardroids creator and is interesting ra moon has a battle network/star force counterpart in le mu. even though inafune dislikes super adventure rockman for how dark it gets(and tbh don't blame him as a few moments are unsettling like the pilots dying from the em wave,humans being influenced into evil by it and in the bad ending alongside megaman being blasted ra moon zapping the robot masters/even dr. wily to death that i could see being the true reason why he disowned it as that's really dark.)really love ra moon as one of the darkest villains in the series(imo even more than sigma with dr. weil being the closest.)especially in the comics(him showing his past to wily invading his mind enough to draw blood/his ancestor being one of the people influenced into sacrificing ones that didn't worship him,the effects of his emp wave affecting all the robot masters and his end goal of having the stardroids rule the planet leaving only weapons for humanity to futilely destroy themselves with before increasing his power to melt survivors brains still is the most megaman has creeped me out.). headcanon shadow devil in x5 is new yellow devil/ra devil with how the final stage is shown to originate from south america(possibly in the lafront ruins with how you start going underground into zero space with the wily technology there/super adventure rockman likely happening sometime before 6 with how outside the manga bass isn't there.) and would be something seeing if ra moon could control sigma possibly being the maverick virus source.
