On my way to see Gaston. Once the 4 parts are done, check Geoff's Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas (dropped Saturday). It haunting and beautiful. Then do VoicePlay's offering. Hellfire (Hunchback of Notre Dame). It is wicked. I did see Tomi's version from awhile back. It was good but it didn't seem to have his full attention. Someone said his heart wasn't in it.

I am certain you will be blown away just as the rest of us were. There were bats flittering around in the cave as they filmed this. You might see some of them. The background chorus seemed appropriately random as you might expect from a group of stupid hyenas.

in this one, since Marwan couldn't be there to film because of travel restrictons, Casper (their manager) is doing the choreography that Marwan would've done had he been there. it's still Marwan's voice of course.

Jennifer! Catching up, as I usually find myself these days. Bass Gang! Wow ... I'm not familiar with Be Prepared though I did watch the Lion King ... a LONG time ago. So dark ... very Gregorian chant-like but with nice interspersed BV harmonies and floaty notes in the background! Very creatively done. And SO much low note practice! Maybe a week's worth in one song! 😁 Now I need to go back and watch the Lion King again! Awesome reaction and analysis as always Jen. 😊

Did you hear Marwan struggling in the lamp? He couldn't be there in reality, but he's there in spirit (in the lamp)! And is Casper's voice contributing to this, or is he just lip-syncing Marwan? Hmmm. Great reaction and analysis, Jenn.

My understanding is that Casper only contributed to the visuals, not the vocals. I believe the credits list him as "extra hyena" or something like that. I think Peter Barber also talked about this in his own reaction video.

What does the number indicate I always see/hear mentioned after the actual note, ie E flat 1?

It's the corresponding octave the note is in. Middle C is C4.

I’m hearing some whistle notes off and on in this. I’m assuming that’s Tomi, but could be Peter (or maybe Casper?). I know Peter can get pretty high in falsetto but can he do whistles? Great reaction! And Gaston is dropping a bit later (unfortunately I’ll have to miss the premier-appointment) but should be home soon after so I can drop an early comment. Go opera!
