31:15 i love how chilla was like "what if i made a cult around myself in my game"
@IbarakiPlays2 жыл бұрын
so - it may or may not be - but I'm taking it as a refrence to the Yakuza series aswell and the "order of Munan COHEPT Onst" (the cohept is the part that makes it feel like a reference ill go into more detail down below but basically they wear the exact same clothes) /rant HOWEVER more likely it could be a reference to Aum Shinrikyo - which is a VERY REAL cult in japan founded in 1980 and dissolved in '90, the leader Shoko Asahara (real name Chizuo Matsumoto) "the founder and leader of the Japanese doomsday cult known as Aum Shinrikyo. He was convicted of masterminding the deadly 1995 sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway, and was also involved in several other crimes. Asahara was sentenced to death in 2004, and his final appeal failed in 2011. In June 2012, his execution was postponed due to further arrests of Aum members." (Wikipedia) and then FINALLY he was executed in 2018 the cult from the Yakuza video games are just about making money off there followers not gassing people so that's where they differ XD

Haven't heard of Ubume before either, I'm ever glad to increase my yokai knowledge. Also, I went to look into it as well (just to see if I could find any reason why the heck would anyone want to summon/create such yokai intentionally), and remember that ghost lady you hate from Fatal Frame 2, the one who comes out from a box? According to the wiki, she's probably inspired by a Ubume (and Sadako), since she died hiding in the box with her baby son. Anyways, another great game, tho it's a shame that I'll now be plagued with the question of why the heck would someone do that.
